Sweet Chills Malaysia – another froyo option

Other than burgers, breads and cakes, another item I blogged consistently about is frozen yogurt, or froyo, as it’s more popularly known.

Moo Cow is one of my default choice when the craving strikes, but with the many new options and outlets popping up, I try to sample each and everyone of them for comparison.

Just today I had the chance to sample Sweet Chills; as I was in Berjaya Times Square (a place I avoid under normal circumstances) for a meeting.

Needing a pick-me-up on a tiring Friday afternoon, I walked into Sweet Chills and helped myself to all of their 4 available flavours.

I started with the Raspberry, since I’m fond of fruits. Not a good choice, as it was saccharinely sweet and there wasn’t much of any raspberry flavour at all.

Opting for the original next, since the original would rightfully be the basis for judgement, I took a cautionary lick of the spoon and hoped that it would be good.

Thankfully it was alright, “frosty” as low yat froyos are normally like, and not overly sweet.
However, I’ll still stay loyal to Moo Cow for now. Somehow, Sweet Chills lacked the “little creaminess” that Moo Cow seems to have, though both are low fat.

My Original Sweet Chills – RM5.40 – 120g.

However, I must say the Cookies and Cream as well as the Double Chocolate flavour is pretty good here! That would be my choice the next round if I’m at Sweet Chills again.

Below: Same concept as Tutti Frutti. Mix the flavours if you wish.

Prices starts from RM4.90/100g. No minimum or maximum choice of toppings as you pay accordingly to weight. So if you add a lot of toppings, it’s all charged at RM4.90/100g.

While Moo Cow is produced locally, Sweet Chills frozen yogurt is made from the milk of the “Happiest Cows” on earth which are raised in Southern California. Left to graze freely under the warm sun, life is good for the “Happiest Cows” on earth, thus producing better milk?

I love frozen yoghurt. I would like to see how the cows are really kept though – “happy cows”? Are the cows free roaming grass fed? I wonder…

    1. rebeccasaw

It does sounds like that right? I wonder if the people behind Sweet Chills will have an open day for fans to visit & learn about their philosophy behind the brand.
Anyhow, happy cows definitely means well fed and taken care of cows!

Sweet chills is doing quite well, I think! Their branch at Publika always seems to have at least one customer standing and buying fro-yo! I guess the interest in this dessert is still relatively strong!

Haha.. wait til Moo Cow opens!
I’m there in the early afternoons on weekends and it’s empty most of the time though. Maybe biz picks up in the evenings!
