I still remember when Secret Recipe first started in Malaysia .
Their cheesecakes immediately took the town by storm. Everyone in the office gets a Secret Recipe cake for their birthdays.
Today Secret Recipe is 16 years old, celebrating its sweet sixteen with some sweet deals for all Malaysians.
The first is a “Buy 1 Free 1” cake deal.
In a collaboration with WeChat, this deal entitles the diner to buy 1 cake and claim another (similarly priced) for free.
Here’s how you do it:
1. Download WeChat (if you haven’t already).
2. Once you get yourself signed up with a user ID and all, look for “SecretRecipeMY” –> follow the instructions in the visual above.
3. Once you have found Secret Recipe MY on WeChat follow them!
4. You will find this deal on their WeChat account.
5. Be sure to read the Terms & Conditions.
6. ONE WeChat ID is valid for ONE claim of this deal. That’s it. No multiple claims. Also, the cake of your choice must be same priced (both) or the one FREE is lower than the one you ordered.
7. Only Click on REDEEM IF you’re already at a Secret Recipe outlet. Once you click on ‘YES’ the voucher code is valid for 1 hour.
8. See the code “W48879” below? That’s what you show to the cashier before you order your cakes.
That was what I did earlier this evening! I had a Durian and a Strawberry Marshmallows Cheesecake, each RM7.50.
Here’s my bill for RM8.70 (after taxes) for both of my order.

ooo, secret recipe brings back good memories for me too. back when i first came to kl, my go-to place for chocolate cakes and cheesecakes was secret recipe! 😀
