This was quite unexpected find for me.
For one I wouldn’t be anywhere near this area if it wasn’t for a friend who knew a friend who knew this place.
Yes, it is one of those someone recommended to someone who recommended it to me kind of story. 🙂
To cut a long story short I was told to take the Putra LRT train to Damai station.
From there I’ll just have to exit, look for the Petron petrol station & turn immediately right into the road beside it.
After that it was pretty easy. Look out for this makeshift “outlet” or just follow the smoke.
Inside the production is fast and furious, complete with smoke and vigorous fanning and burst of flames.
These amazing skewers of tender, delicious marinated meat (beef or chicken) are grilled over charcoal for that heady smoky aroma.
A little warning here – it can be a bit sweet due to its marinate but no one seems to be complaining judging from the queue and consistent orders!
Operation hours begin at 6pm daily.
If you’re early (like we were) then the waiting time isn’t that deary. The satay came hot off the grill as they do not keep pre-prepared sticks on the side.
I personally preferred the chicken over the beef though I usually like beef satay more.
I thought the beef ones were even sweeter than the chicken, at times overwhelming the meat. But hey, you know I can be picky about my food so this is just me nitpicking.
The satay here is still much better than most that I have been to so please do give it a try and form your own conclusion! 🙂
Each stick is RM1.10. It used to be RM0.70 just an year back.
Inflation gets to all of us huh?
