YourSingapore.com/LIVE – all you need to know on what’s hot and happening in Singapore!

Are you like me; a person who enjoys traveling to Singapore for food, attractions, shopping and performing arts? I have traveled to Singapore for burgers, Jaan, L’ Atelier de Joel Robuchon, World Gourmet Summit 2012, Gardens by the Bay and also for the tour of the Marina Bay Sands Celebrity Chefs restaurants. I have been to Universal Studios twice and I love it.

Each time I come back from Singapore, I’ll lug Gardenia loaves (the only Gardenia bread that I’ll eat is from Sg), pastries and breads from Tiong Bahru Bakery and even Maison Kayser. Yes, there are some things that’s just better in Singapore, and for me that’s in the gourmet food department. No doubt shopping is good as well, though I hardly blog about my shopping spree. Perhaps I would be doing that more often this year. 🙂

Just today, I found out that I could obtain updated information and news on what’s up and coming in Singapore through YourSingapore.com/LIVE. I will have no worries of missing out on events (like the Asia 50 Best Restaurant event just few weeks back!) as the site is refreshed and updated daily with relevant news and events.

In fact, the events are updated months ahead so it’s so easy for me to plan both my schedule and BUDGET (yes, RM2.50 is a miserable SGD1) to ensure that I’ll be able to fully enjoy my trips and also to enable me to grab tickets on time for some performances or events that requires admission fees.
As for accommodation and flights, fret not as both Singapore Tourism Board and its partners Air Asia and Expedia has that covered too.

The best news I can share for now? Air Asia is giving away 27,000 free seats!
Yes, free seats from KL to Singapore for travel in April and May. Every Wednesday (the booking period is from 13th March until 27th March) 9,000 free AirAsia seats will be made available for booking through the YourSingapore Live site. So bookmark YourSingapore.com/LIVE NOW and set the reminder on your phone!

While waiting for the free seats booking period, surf over to YourSingapore.com/LIVE and start planning your trip. Begin with the EXPERIENCE tab on the top left. On the right of the page there are section that you can click on to browse for flights, accommodation, dining destinations, etc.

On the BROWSE tab, you do exactly that – BROWSE. Read about upcoming events, the best dining outlets, shopping ,what to see, what to do, culture and whatever else you may need to know!

The site even offer TIPS on traveling to Singapore; taxes & refunds, VISA, customs check and so forth. You’ll have all the information at your fingertips. Your Singapore Live is accessible on mobile and tablets so it’s like an online travel guide!

There’s even something for the business travelers as Singapore does host some big events throughout the year. No doubt these events are great for networking and business purposes.

In the coming months, visitors can expect international acts like The Script, Julio Iglesias and Deep Purple to take to the stage with concerts in Singapore while Grammy legends like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Cliff will rock it out at Timbre Rock and Roots, a home-grown blues festival. For a taste of theatre, keep a watch out for hit musical, Dirty Dancing, and locally produced Glass Anatomy – The Musical featuring Taiwanese songstress, Della Ding Dang.

On the attractions front, there is the much-anticipated opening of the River Safari in the 1st half of this year. As Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park, the River Safari will span across 12 hectares and be home to one of the world’s largest collections of freshwater aquatic animals.

Existing attractions are also upping the ante with recent launches like the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase ride at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) and the Adventure Cove Waterpark at the Marine Life Park.

So really, there are exciting months ahead for Singapore! I’ll be there soon for some food adventures with a friend coming from UK. I can’t wait! 🙂
