Whitney Miller did a cooking presentation at the official launch of SousVide Supreme Malaysia at Harvey Norman IPC today and I had the good fortune to meet her up close in person! 🙂
Just last Monday I had lunch and watched Sharone Hakman as he whipped up a red snapper dish and a succulent rib eye. Today Whitney served us steak too, just that it was sous vided instead of pan grilled.
There’s a lot more that I would like to share about my afternoon with Whitney but I’m really tired out for today. So this is just a quick update for those of you who would like to meet Whitney too!
You can catch Whitney Miller as she presents a cooking demonstration using SousVide Supreme at MPH 1 Utama on Sunday (that’s tomorrow!) at 11am. She will also answer questions from fans and sign copies of her book. If you miss that, stalk her at 3.00pm at HOMEDEC at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Don’t say I didn’t tell you! :DD
ooo, i’ve not watched the masterchef episodes that featured her. gonna go check out some clips on youtube! 😀
She’s really pretty that’s for sure. I still prefer Sharone.
You are a guy.. u prefer Sharone? hehehe *just teasing*
She’s so sweet on TV. As sweet as her desserts! But she cooked meat from the sous vide? Did you ask if she could prepare desserts using the sous vide machine?
Oh yes we all did!
Unfortunately she didn’t show how but just explained verbally to us. I’m afraid I didn’t quite get it either. WEll, let’s hope her next cook book covers “sous vide desserts” !
on TV she looked tiny…but u r even more tinier than her 😀
Hahaha!! I am cos I’m Asian sized! 😛
As a chef myself, sous vide is really not practical for home use actually.
First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to
ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before
writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my
ideas out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15
minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any suggestions or tips? Thank you!
