After gushing about the delicious-ness of Uncle Tetsu’s Signature Cheesecake (link), I vowed to try the Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccoto Cheesecake.
However, procrastination and a hectic schedule set in.
This week, I finally went over to pick up 2 Cheese Zuccoto Cheesecake courtesy of Uncle Tetsu. I also managed to sample the Signature Cheesestick.
Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto, nicknamed Hat Series.
It comes with 3 different flavors: Angel Hat (Original), Cupid Hat (Strawberry), and Devil Hat (Dark Chocolate).
Here’s a little background of Uncle Tetsu’s Cheese Zuccotto as shared by a reliable source from Uncle Tetsu.
The name & shape of Cheese Zuccotto is actually derived from a type of an Italian dessert whose origin is from Florence.
However, the original dessert is slightly sweet if baked using the original recipe.
The Japanese has actually modified the formula into a simpler form; using simple but delicious ingredients to recreate this dessert.
Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto is made with Australian imported cream cheese, New Zealand imported milk and Swiss imported strawberry puree (for Cupid hat), quality cocoa powder & chocolates (for Devil’s Hat), and lastly parmesan cheese for the Angel Hat – the original flavour.
In comparison with the Original Signature Tetsu Cheesecake, the texture of the Zuccotto is moist and more airy, though the rich cheese flavour is ever as pronounced.
It’s best enjoyed chilled, and it shouldn’t be in your hands or on your fork long. Pop it quick into your mouth and relish the flavours as it melts right-away in your mouth.
I couldn’t decide which I like better, the original or chocolate. 🙂
For snacking, these crisp stick that were baked for 3 hours are delicate, airy and crumbles on the tongue to a smooth powdery texture with lingering flavour of cheese or chocolate, depending on which flavour you ate.
Trust me, one is not enough. Nor two. Or three. It is difficult to stop. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
