In continuation from my post showcasing the Celebrity Chefs Special menus for the Midsummer Nights Feast 2010, (Check it out HERE – it’s not that expensive really…), I have compiled below the special menus by the above mentioned outlets for the week of Jul 2nd to Jul 9th.
Thanks to YTL, I had a blast stuffing myself silly with bite sized canapes at each of the participating outlets during the media launch. Datin Yasmin was there to officiate the event with a short, concise speech about the Celebrity Chefs this year as well as a brief introduction about the line-up of events to expect for this year’s Midsummer Nights Feast @StarHill Gallery.
We were first ushered to SHOOK! & it was the best stop of all the outlets. The name of “Shook!” came from our-own Malaysian word in describing the best in our living, “SYUK”.
In other word “Shook!” means Cheng, I-chi-ban, Fabulous or BEST OF THE BEST.
Shook’s menu flirts with seasonal trends and boasts an adventurous fusion of east and west with Japanese, Chinese Wok, Italian and Western Grill show kitchens.

So much food, so little time! The ribs at jake’s look very appealing … It seems to be harder to find really good beef ribs compared to really good pork ribs!

I’m completely w u on this!
Beef (steaks, patties, ribs), they jz lose out to pork!
*head spinning*
Ooooh too many delicious choices! Dunno which one to go for first! 🙂 🙂 🙂
We plan and we go together?? 😉
I have some good experience with 3.6 at Pak Loh and Shook. To ipgrade or not?
Yes, you should try some of the above.
Choose carefully *wink*
The outlet & the menu matters of course ;p
And tht’s why I got the whole menu written out as above..u’ll knw what to expect ! :good:
informative, pretty much covered it all for me, thanks. Noted a few for clients’ dinners.
Reminds me of my man visits to KL and wonderful food experienced there. After my local friends took me to a local place to discover what I would not eat only to discover that it does not exist, we experienced some wonderful restaurants and meals. Now that I do not get to travel as much, I attempt to replicate some of the things you show in your entry above. Sometime successful and other times not so much.
Great pictures.
