Ramadan buffet & happy buka-puasa at Cinnamon, One World Hotel

One of the more popular buka puasa buffet in PJ area is the Cinnamon Coffee House in One World Hotel.

For years (maybe decades?) the spread here had impressed and kept buffet-goers satisfied.
As you can see from my previous years’ reviews the quantity and variety has been consistent. Like I said many times before, the spread at each hotel (so far) doesn’t veer far from the spread yearly.
However, the kitchen team would usually ADD (never reduce of course) to the variety and more often than not, improve on the taste and flavours of the food.

This year at Cinnamon Coffee House, the desserts were less appetizing but the hot food remains promising.

Themed “Aroma Semenanjung”, the Ramadan spread here offers a diverse menu of over 100 varieties each day.

From the ubiquitous roast lamb, satay and grilled seafood section to dim sum, nasi ulam, nasi dagang and briyani, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to pinpoint anything missing!

Among the scrumptious delights that one must not miss are the Nasi Pelangi, Daging Gulai Kawah, Ayam Percik, Puyuh Goreng Berempah, Sup Tulang Rawan and Ikan Patin Masak Tempayak just to name a few.
Other dishes offered in the buffet include Bubur Lambuk, Mee Udang, Sate, Daging Sumor, Rendang Tok Gunung Rapat, Sotong Kalio Batawi, Sayur Lemak Nangka and the list goes on.

Meanwhile the international section is good too! Fresh oysters, seafood on ice, Japanese fresh fish and sushi are everyone’s favourites but replenished swiftly throughout the night.

And desserts.
Be spoilt with mouthwatering local desserts such as Ais Kacang, Cendol, Serawa Pulut Durian, Pandan Kurma Mousse, Tapai Pulut and assorted puddings, cakes and kuih. Let’s not forget the chocolate fondue with fresh fruits, marshmallows and dried nuts and fruits.
