It saddens me that I missed so many Ramadan reviews this year. Almost 20 invites declined, and thus at one point I could sent some friends to attend on my behalf.

Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur provided a taste of what’s to come in their Ramadan menu last May 27th at the newly renovated Coffee House.
Guests were able to delight in the impressive selection of nostalgic buka puasa dishes from 10 food stalls and 5 buffet displays.
The occasion also introduced the five core master chefs of the hotel’s kitchen spearheaded by the hotel’s Executive Chef and Deputy President of Chef Association of Malaysia, Chef Rossham Rosli.
Fittingly themed, “Dari Dapur Ummi”, the incredible chefs of the hotel presented home-grown dishes that are not only traditional and cherished by many; as each dish featured exceptional recipes that were lovingly taught by their own mothers.
The buffet showcased the barbecue kitchen boasting a wide selection of Churrasco Barbecues in Tandoor with choices of chicken, beef and lamb.
Local favourites like Kambing Dalca Mangga Muda, Ayam Percik Seri mernati, Kari Kepala Ikan, Udang Kalio dengan Belimbing Buluh, Ikan Tenggiri Goreng dengan Sambal Lemak Tempoyak and Daging Rendang Dendeng were given the spotlight during the buffet preview.
Sunway Putra Hotel’s “Dari Dapur Ummi” buffet will be available daily from 6:30pm to 10:30pm starting June 22 until July 16, 2015.
Priced at RM138 nett/ person, one dines for free for every group of 10.
