I’m off again! This time to Kuching, Sarawak for the annual Rainforest Music Festival!
The event will on 13th– 15th July (thus that’s why I’m here now at the airport) and this is my first time ever witnessing the Rainforest World Music Festival at the site itself!
I’m not quite sure what to expect; but as you know, I’m open to experience anything for just once at least! :DD
So this weekend, I’m going to tap to the rhythm of diverse ethnic music amidst the magnificent rainforest of Sarawak. One of the largest musical events in Malaysia, the Rainforest World Music Festival aims to celebrate ‘world music’ with performances by ethnic musicians from around the world.
The above is the nice, cosy cabana that we will be based with other media from around the world and yes, I will be providing lives updates (hopefully) or at least on a daily basis. 🙂
Thanks to Heineken Malaysia, I’ll be sipping Heineken and traveling in comfort for the next 3 days. Look at my chic goody bag; complete with the straw hat, wet wipes, ziplock and an eco-friendly bag. 🙂
Organised by Sarawak Tourism Board, the festival will also showcase various renowned bands from all corners of the world. Tickets available at the Visitors’ Information Centres (VIC) in Kuching, Miri and Sibu or online at www.rwmf.net.
