Proton largest ever outdoor showcase starts today at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium!
A specially constructed mini circuit in the middle of the event site allows the public to catch Alister McRae demonstrating the power and performance of the APRC-winning Satria Neo S2000 rally car, among other races.
The F1 team with the Lotus.
Watch the video of this powerful beast! I got a video of the new P3-21A too, but that will have to wait till I get home tonight!

Teaser – on the left is the new P3-21A . This was a demo for the media, pitting the new P3-21A with another Proton car.
The Engineering & Technology exhibition is cool, showcasing their EV models, of which I’m personally very interested in (of you have been following my automotive adventures lately, you would have noticed that I loved hybrids and environmentally – friendly vehicles).
Media were taken for a tour of the area with the Proton team.
This station shows the sketching work done by Proton engineers on the design process. Seriously cool, and I do wonder if it’s for real!
At another booth a Proton rep explained to me about the 3D scanner and the Proton mini prototype. Frankly, he could be speaking in Mars language, cos I couldn’t fathom much. Anyhow, I was totally distracted with the EV vehicles!
More games to entertain both the big and small kids. Yes, the Proton Power of 1 exhibition is not only for the car guys, but also ideal for an interesting and different day out for the family.
This is my first time seeing a skeletal frame of a car so bare.
Educational yes? 🙂
Here is the EV vehicles. One is the Exora REEV REEV (Range Extender Electric Vehicle) and another the Saga EV.
Interior.
The middle panel shows the battery usage (refer to picture after the Saga EV).

How the EV works. Interesting yes? 🙂
.. “charging stations along all roads and in parking lots around the city.” Well, I hope this is a reality in the near future!
I took a walk outside and came across the Innovation Cars Area.
>
Some of the cars on display was pretty, ermm, innovative! 😀
The Power of 1, is FREE for the public and opens from 10am to 10pm for the next 5 days.
Go and see for yourself, the races, the cars and the Engineering & Technology exhibition! :DD

Oh ! then do hop in and jalan-jalan if u have the time yea!
Myself, I am a big fan of Proton.
It is sad to see that now only government allow Proton to promote their electric engines, since they had started that R&D since so many years ago…
And hopefully, the P3-21A will be able to release in its full power, not restricted by the government to lock down its power like other Proton cars…
Haih….
Thanks Garfield for your feedback here!
I know right, Proton has lagged so much. I do have hope for the future, the talks with DRB, Volks.. Maybe somethng will come out of it. Let’s see what this P3-21A vehicle can do!
