Our Malaysian ringgit hit an all-time low to a few foreign currencies few days back and I sighed as I thought about my savings.
At a crossroad, I took the opportunity to speak to some savvy business people in my network.
Not surprisingly many of them advised on property investment; citing safer (though longer) returns for my hard earned cash.
While I toyed with the idea of stocks and trading, I began to look around for potential properties.
My current area in TTDI is commanding prices about RM1000/sf, and that is for pretty old houses. As much as I love the neighbourhood, it is not within my budget.
As a 30 + year old, with a decent income of a mid level executive, a property of below 1300sf at the price of RM600 – RM800 seems ideal.
And you know what they say about location, location, location right?
I’m a lover of nature, an active person who is also extremely fond of open air and sun so a recent development launch caught my attention when I was forwarded the press release.
The images of flowing water, vast spaces at shared public facilities, and the best of all, a balcony was the main cause of hesitance in sending it to the spam folder.
Perhaps I should check this one out; I’ve told myself.
Most recent developments are all “walled up” and the best ventilation you could possibly hope for are just large windows.
I love to be able to step out to a balcony and feel the liberating sense of having that private outdoor space within your home.
Yes there is a lot of wonderful green space, ideal for some zen moments after a long day at work or just for the simple luxury of being able to enjoy nature right where your home is.
No need to drive to a park and yet still be protected in the safety of Aquata’s four-tier security system.
Where is this you ask?
It’s the newly launched new development which will be located at Sungai Besi, approximately 15 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre – Trinity Aquata.
Here’s an idea of the 16 water-inspired features (hence the name Aquata) which includes the following:
1. Vivarium (a human aquarium, if you will)
2. Raised Infinity Pool
3. Water Lounge
4. Aqua – Reflexo
5. Bubbling Trail
6. Interactive Water Play Nook
7. Rain Pavilion
8. Open Lawn
9. Riverbank Seating
10. Hammock Nook and Hammock Lounge
11. Pool Deck
12. Wet Deck
13. Sky Bath
To some staying in a condo is like being in a cage, but that is certainly not the case here.
That’s not all, other facilities are as follows:
1. Landscaped Sky Bridge that links to the Sky Garden
2. Sky Terrace (on Level 19)
3. Jogging Path
4. Reflex Garden
5. Seasonal Flowering Trees
6. Multi-Purpose Hall
7. Gymnasium
8. 4-tier security system that includes 24-hour security and CCTV surveillance at the carpark and common areas, Smart Card Access System to the lifts, Intercom System as well as additional panic buttons installed at the master bedrooms and common areas of the condominium.
Other than the bells and whistles above, let’s talk about LOCATION.
This freehold condominium project is accessible via a myriad of highways including the Besraya Highway, KL-Seremban Highway, Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and KL-Putrajaya Highway-Maju Expressway (MEX).
It is also 5 mins away from the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) and around 11 mins away from the upcoming High Speed Rail (HSR) connecting KL to Singapore.
There’s also going to be an MRT Line 2 station (Taman Naga Mas – S24) just about 500 metres away from the condo when it’s completed.
Whether it is for live-in or to rent out, I’m not decided yet. Whatever is it, the showroom is located in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong so perhaps a visit is in order.

i just marked 12 years of living in my current place … i didn’t think i’d stay here so long, but time just goes by. it’s still a convenient location, and i think i’ll stay here for the foreseeable future … it’ll cost too much to try to move/upgrade, heheh 🙂
Gosh, I feel you Sean
I love my current place, but the rent increases yearly 🙁
Only way to survive is to make more money? this is just a never-ending cycle lol.
