Becky’s 1 Minute Summary:
What: Buffet style dining as Nomad SuCasa Hotel doesn’t have a Chinese restaurant. Pork free.

Overall experience: This is my 1st time savouring dishes from the kitchen of the Nomad SuCasa All-Suite Hotel’s culinary team and my verdict is RM60+ is a darn good deal for what was served!

This Chinese New Year, hang a little loose and opt for buffet style reunion dinner. The Nomad SuCasa All-Suite Hotel’s culinary team presents you a scrumptious, reasonably priced buffet that will leave your stomach satisfied and pocket happy. For RM60.00+ per adult and RM38.00+ per child and per senior citizen I thought it is a good deal considering the unlimited portions available for you to eat to your heart’s content and the fact that all the necessary dishes are offered too.
Every table would be served with a Prosperity Yee Sang with sliced Salmon to ‘lou hei’ for happy, safe and prosperous year. Similarly with a 8 course dinner, well prepared dishes of fish, prawns, rice, noodles, desserts and fowl in a myriad of preparations (steam, roast, stir -fried, lemon sauce, etc) are available. Just that in this case, unlimited servings applies. 😀
Samples from the buffet: Crab Meat Soup, Lotus Root & Yam, Fried Chicken with Orange & Honey Mango, Four Seasons Vegetables, Pineapple Fried Rice, Grilled Scallops with Steamed Broccoli, Roasted Leg of Lamb, Steamed Seabass with Ginger Chilli & Coriander and many more.
I love edamame. Do you?
For desserts, this refreshing mango juice with sago pearls and pamelo (Chilled Mango Puree with Pomelo Sago) is a novel creation of the Executive Chef; while still making use of our beloved Malaysian fruits.
Besides Chinese New Year, Chef had also prepared for the upcoming Valentine celebrations. Spent quality time dining in comfort and style with a loved one (could be your dearest friend, spouse, relative or sibling) savouring good food that won’t break the bank.
For RM60+, enjoy Citrus-Infused Grilled Prawns with Lightly oiled Avocado bedded on Crisp Greens and garnished with Cherry Tomatoes and Steamed Asparagus followed by Lobster Bisque and Spicy Cream.
Choose the land or the sea for your mains; Grilled Lemon Linefish, Seared Salmon, Cajun Prawns, Pan-fried Calamari and Marinated Mussels OR Rosemary Lamb Cutlets in Red Grape Juice and accompanied by Fondant Potatoes with Rocket Salad and a Medley of Vegetables.
My choice would obviously be the lamb! 😀
Dessert is Rich Red Berries and Walnut Tart served with Whipped Cream and Sticky Strawberry Coulis, all sweet and passionate red, just as Valentine should be! 😀
The hotel will also be having a Lion Dance performance with acrobatic stunts followed by Yee Sang tossing on 8 February 2014 at 10:00 am at the lobby of the hotel.
I’m in KL all this while for the CNY period so you might catch me here! Do holla if you’re visiting Nomad Sucasa Hotel! 🙂

RM60 for that is certainly worth it!
I think this would suit a dinner with colleagues and friends!
tempting! especially with the senior citizens discount for my grandmother and aunts! 😀
Wohooo! hope it suits your family palate too! 😀
A buffet is a good idea actually. Freedom to move around and to repetitively eat any particular dish which for me would be any meat dish!
Very good value for money. RM60 ++ in Ampang is crazy!
