All that traveling does warrant a beauty traveling bag.
So as of 2 months ago, I assembled one with 8 essential items that covers my needs.
It does look like it’s a lot right? LOL.
Well, each of them are of a comfortable size and I could zip them up in ONE bag and throw it into my check-in luggage.
My trips are always about 5 days to a week so it made sense to be prepared.
I have a tendency of running more when I’m on my trips as it provides me an opportunity to explore my surroundings while getting a workout locked in at the same time.
So the first item I would need is a strong sunblock.
Next on my list would be a good but non-stripping cleanser to keep my pores and complexion clean.
I use a toner only at night and after my facial wash. This is followed by a moisturiser which in this case the Klairs Vitamin Drops were a godsent.
I like its clear and runny texture. It was easy to spread over my skin and it absorbs quickly. Though it is advisable to keep it in a cool fridge, I wasn’t able to do so during my travels unless I’m staying in a hotel.
But it doesn’t affect its efficacy so that’s fine.
For days that I use makeup, I use the Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil.
My make up (if any) is the standard fresh and glowy look.
This deep cleansing oil does a reliable job of clearing all traces of makeup from my face. I realized that there isn’t a need for another cleanser after using this.
I can proceed to applying moisturizer immediately or to my toning step.
For trips up to a week, I must pack along a mask.
While I prefer a spread on, thick deep cleaning mask which I could wash off afterwards (this type of mask made me felt assured somehow), I do not mind an easy peel-off mask at times.
Thus, I alternative between the C20 Natural Vitamin mask and the B & Soap Mamie.
For the whole body, I use my reliable Egyptian Magic cream.
In fact, a bit of it goes to my hair too after a hair wash. It keeps my locks shiny and easy to manage.

Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser
|
I love this bubble foam. It is fun to use because of its foam-y texture! It feels mild on the skin but washes off with deep clean after-feel.
|
Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop
|
UV damage causes freckles and wrinkles which makes me looks old. Can’t afford to look older than my 30++ years right? This Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop aims to energize and rejuvenate my skin with the power of pure vitamin C. We are all familiar with the benefits of Vitamin C yes? Giving our skin a boost in radiance, reduces freckles and wrinkles and most importantly, it brightens the skin as well! It spreads on easily as the juice is a smooth fluid. You will experience some warmth on the skin upon application.

Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner (355ml)
|
I’ve always favoured Thayers for their toners.
They are not drying and they do a damn good job of clearing dirt under the skin. This time I chose the Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Formula specifically for the rose-petal water which turned out to be pleasantly delicately fragrant.
|
SKIN & LAB Dr. Vita Clinic fre-C Sun Protector
|
This is one of the handiest size sunblock that I’ve ever used!
Now you will find this a permanent item in my bag. Besides the high SPF of 50+ which last up to 8 hours, this sunscreen contains anti-wrinkle ingredients. Most importantly the texture is not sticky or oily so it is comfortable to use anytime, anywhere. I use it before my morning jogs and re-apply after my shower. |
C20 Natural Vitamin 21.5 Enhancing Sheet Mask
|
While I prefer wash-off masks this C20 mask was like a power booster in a pack.
Thanks to its antioxidants properties and high concentration of 21.5% natural vitamin complex extracted from all-natural Hippophae Rhamnoides Water and Boseong Green Tea Water, it works well brightening and keeping my skin healthy during hectic travels.
|
B&SOAP Mamie Blue Wash Off Pack
|
This mask uses deep-sea water as base ingredient which sounded really intriguing to me.
Each time I apply it I imagine myself slathering sea mud on my face! LOL. Jokes aside, I like the clean feel after washing it off and it does visibly improve my face’s tone and radiance. Oh, this is great for clearing clogged pores!

Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil 150ml
|
I use this primarily for occasions where I need to wash off my makeup.
|
Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream (118ml)
|
I’ve raved about Egyptian Magic before and it is an item that is a permanent spot on my night stand.
It’s list of all-natural ingredients is impressive; but just as notable are the number of uses this magic cream is recommended for – from mild medicinal purposes to shaving to hair care and treating burns and fungal infection and even as a lip balm, make up remover and for kids, it is recommended by some mothers to be effective for diaper rash too! |
