MRT Sg Buloh-Kajang – shopping, hospitals and schools

SHOPPING.
That was what got me interested in this infographic.

It seems that our 51 km MRT Sg Buloh-Kajang line brings us to a total of 43 shopping malls, supermarkets, wet markets and street markets.

Unfortunately none of them connects to NSK at Old Klang Road or the amazing Selayang Wholesale Market. Darn.

Anyhow, here’s the list for the 19 MRT stations along the 31-station Sungai Buloh-Kajang route (based on information provided by MRT Corp).

Missing in the infographic are Sunway Nexis and Giant Kota Damansara which are accessible from the Surian MRT station; eCurve and Tesco Kota Damansara (Mutiara Damansara); Glo Damansara Mall and Hero Supermarket (Taman Tun Dr Ismail); the BB Plaza that is being redeveloped, Fahrenheit 88, Starhill Gallery, Imbi Plaza (Bukit Bintang); and Aeon Big Jalan Peel (Cochrane).

At the Bukit Bintang MRT station alone, commuters can reach at least eight shopping malls – Pavilion, Fahrenheit 88, Sg Wang, Lot 10 (Isetan KL), Low Yat, Berjaya Times Square, Starhill Gallery.
Then again, you can Bukit Bintang via Monorail too.

In addition to connecting the public to offices and retail outlets, MRT Corp said the MRT SBK line also provides access to over 40 educational institutions ranging from primary schools to universities plus around 11 hospitals or healthcare providers.
