My day in Singapore got off to a great start today. 🙂
It was my first time stepping into Sofitel So Singapore and I certainly wasn’t prepared for this elegant blend of city modernity and classic French refinement.
As I strolled into the lobby I felt the understated sophistication instantly; but gladly it wasn’t the stuffy kind, but instead a warm, comforting kind of welcome.
Some hotels achieve grandeur with sombre colours and ornate furniture while others throw splashes of colours everywhere. Sofitel So straddles the balance between colours, glitters and metal nicely, creating a one-of-a-kind ambiance that stay imprinted in your mind for a long while.
If dining on a table is too mainstream for you, Sofitel So Singapore presents a dine-in-bed concept courtesy of Xperience restaurant’s Chef’s Table.
The dining table is shaped in the form of a bed that encourages diners to lie back and sample dishes such as foie gras and truffle siew mai, Seafood and Scallop Laksa Risotto and marvellous desserts  which were created by Executive Chef Anne-Cecile Degenne, a position not often held by a woman.
I had a SO- fabulous 3 course lunch here; of which more details will follow, but for now let me express my delight of this Miraval Rose; a joint venture between Famille Perrin and Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt from their their Provence estate, Chateau Miraval.
I love rose in general for its floral nose and delicate aromas. This Miraval Rose has refreshing acidity, lovely floral nose, soft fragrant of roses and strawberries and a round, long, vibrant finish.
Life is SO – good. 🙂

it’s been ages since i had a rose … your description of the miraval has me hankering to drink some this weekend 😀
I love a good rose anytime! I love the floral notes, its easy drinking properties (mildly sweet, uncomplicated flavours) and it’s usually a rather refreshing wine! 🙂
