In 2010, Pacific Coffee first entered Malaysia and I was at the launch at IOI Boulevard Puchong.

Today, 4 years later, I stood and watched almost the same people cutting the ribbon at the launch of Melaka 1st Pacific Coffee Flagship Store @ Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall! 🙂
However the Melaka outlets are under the Hatten group; SkyWin Brand Management which plans to open 5 more Pacific Coffee Company outlets in the city centre of Melaka within the next 3 years.
SkyWin Brand Management also aims to establish Pacific Coffee as one of Melaka’s top favorite coffee house.
ABOVE: Edwin Tan, Hatten Group’s CEO said in his speech during the launch; “At Hatten, besides developing Melaka’s retail and lifestyle landscape, we strongly believe in contributing to the community by enhancing the local way of life. By bringing Pacific Coffee into Melaka, Hatten hopes to spread message in support of the consumption of organic free trade coffee beans.”
After the launch formalities, we treated with the guest appearance of Pacific Coffee coffee ambassador, Mike Yung who gave a demonstration of Pacific Coffee’s Crema Scura blend made from 100% organic, fair trade coffee beans sourced from Costa Rica and Guatemala.
This blend is popular as it is well balanced and full-bodied. It’s nutty aroma and creamy caramel texture plus a warm dark chocolate finish makes it an excellent single shot (espresso) beverage or as a base for added milk drinks.
The Pacific Coffee Company flagship store is located along the tree-lined boulevard of Jalan Merdeka, Melaka’s main business and entertainment avenue, a perfect location for both leisure and business people.
The duplex cafe offers a lovely cozy ambiance with plenty of sunshine for both its indoor and outdoor seating.
An outdoor-sy person, I chose to sit outside facing the open field of Dataran Pahlawan as I sip my coffee and tuck into some pastries during the launch. It was tranquil and I can imagine myself lost in my writing for hours here.
Yes I know where to chill on my next trip to Melaka now!
And of course, great service does make all the difference in the Pacific Coffee experience.
Congrats again to the Hatten Group on their latest project and thank you for having me during this auspicious occasion! 🙂

Oh this looks much better than those shops in Jonker. It was tiring walking in the hot stuffy streets and trying to find a nice air conditioned place! Now I knw where to chill and rest when I’m done with Jonker St in Melaka. Thanks for the heads up!
nice addition to my hometown! and not too far from my former secondary school, heheh. looks like a great venue 😀
The girls are so cute. I can definitely feel the warm service here.
And seriously in this haze (unless there’s none in Melaka) I won’t advise you to sit anywhere out of a confined building!
Hey, tɦis post іs good, my younger sister is in Melaka, I should tell her to hang out here instead of Mcd!
I hang out on Pacific Coffee in Fahrenheit often. Nice place.
