Last day – Langkawi, Next Stop – Penang

Up early to catch the morning beach breeze as today is the last day..I don’t mind waking up to a walk on the beach every morning….

Breakfast..same stall as the other day when we had our lunch.

Today my mood being better, I ate here and took some pics. The only grouse was that the prices are pretty expensive, almost KL Bt Bintang prices!

Haven’t seen this served in coffee shops in a while..

Another thing I realized, every rice stall will have ulam and sambal. And that being said, every meal we were served during the shoot also comes with ulam and sambal. Can I safely deduce that it’s a staple diet for the people here in Kedah?

Then if was off to some last min shopping for cookware. Yes, the Tefal, dining sets, cutleries, pots and pans here are much much cheaper. Stay longer than 2 nights entitles one to buy up to RM500 worth of them.

Done with that, we headed for the ferry, enroute to Kuala Kedah.
This is how the ferry terminal in Kuala Kedah looks like.. and the stench itself is another story entirely..

Quick lunch at bus terminal.. the cutest pack of nasi lemak ever.. RM0.60 and with a piece of fish too!

Rice was fragrant and sambal was a good balance of mildly spicy and sweet. Good things comes in small packages yeah? And authentic old kampung food never dissappoint.

Scenery along the way to bus terminal from the ferry..we get to see the “rice bowl” of Malaysia

In a moving bus.. pardon the pics ya..
