As some of you may know, I call myself thenomadGourmand. A nomad describes a person that is wanderlust, traveling, never at one place for a fixed period or for a long duration. I’m a “nomadGourmand” cos I travel to seek for good food and to experience extraordinary cuisines.
The Nomad Offices. How does that work?
The same principle applies. It refers to having an office for the traveling entrepreneur, businessman. A virtual office gives you a professional address, receptionist, business centre and meeting facilities without the costs of a permanent office, making it suitable for home-based businesses, freelancers, international offices wanting to establish a local presence, and start-ups.
Virtual Office Features:
* Prestigious CBD business address in a Grade A building (in this case I’m at the newest addition to the Nomad Offices – the Nomad Office @ Solaris Mont Kiara.
*Mall collection & forwarding
*Dedicated phoneline
* Call Diversion
* Voice Mailbox
* Incoming and outgoing faxes
* Business Lounge usage with complimentary WIFI and beverages
* Meeting and conference room usage.
All that above for ONE price and you do not have to worry about long term overheads or staffing (HR issues)! **Depending on the package you subscribe to.
So in a nutshell, it’s NOT your office but it’s your office by name.
Below: Meeting Room.
Below: Conference Room – great for me to have my conference calls.
At the bloggers’ preview at Nomad Offices in Mont Kiara, I had a tour of the compact but hip and trendy office space. Vibrant colours decorated the walls and a in-vogue business lounge with PS3 (yes, a PS3!) plus a docking station welcomes you upon entrance.
Docking station.
PS3.
Water, coffee, kitchen utensils (for those who got their lunch box), microwave and a fridge are among some of the lifestyle amenities in addition to corporate office amenities. All in all, it was almost like a home away from home, minus the bed! 🙂
But of course this is a professional venue and minimal dress code applies. However, for those who are on long term packages, the office is accessible 24 hours (you will be given an access card) but for those who are on the HOTDESK it is only from 8.30am to 6pm.
My weekend wear!
So yes, your needs and the facilities required can be tailored according to your budget and criteria. This is where you should arrange to meet a Nomad Offices representative so you could have a better understanding of the charges and commitments required.
For a start, these are some of the packages available. For the best package suitable for yourself/your company, the Nomad Offices are flexible to discuss.
Here are some of the examples of the working “stations”. The below is HotDesk area for short term use.
This is another layout, where there is a “managerial” room.
The rooms that faces the highway with the majestic KLCC Twin Towers and the Palace looming from afar are my favourite. I work better with sunshine and open spaces.
Do say hi to fellow nomadic business friends. 🙂
Most importantly, there are ample powerpoints near each work station.
And complimentary stationaries.
Let’s not forget the washroom. Clean, bright and accessible 24 hours as well!
The Nomad Offices @ Mont Kiara features 5,600 square feet of workspace and offers more hot desks to cater to Gen-Y entrepreneurs and freelancers. The new business centre is also an ideal alternative to working in cafes and ‘kopitiams’ for mobile professionals.
