Being Asians, sacrificing rice is tough.
In fact I couldn’t believe that I managed to do it; not eating rice, pasta or bread for 3 months.
But I did. And I got really lean.
Now I would only eat rice/pasta/breads occasionally. And in very small dosages.
But you don’t have to be so drastic. Unless your goals is similar to mine (which borders on being a bit obsessive) a bit of rice /carbohydrates isn’t going to harm you in any way.
Just do try to cut down on the refined carbohydrates (pasta, white rice, breads made with white flour – go for rye, sourdough, etc instead).
Frankly most breads labeled “wheat” hardly contain any wholewheat and is 90% marketing BS.
In line with my new healthy produce business Fit Fab Kitchen, I have collaborated with GRAYNS Malaysia after I have tested the GRAYNS rice cooker for the past few months.
This rice cooker allows you to enjoy your rice (brown, white, basmati, etc) minus the carbs.
I posted about it on my social sites and there were many sceptics who argued about it’s efficiency and said it was pointless to eat rice then.
Well I had compiled all such arguments and FAQs here:

For those who are diabetic, who has family members who are diabetic or simply looking at cutting carbs but love your rice, then investing in a GRAYNS unit may be the solution for you.
You can drop me an email ([email protected]) for a demo session but do read my review here first (prices, how it works, the technology behind the GRAYNS rice cooker is all here –> https://www.rebeccasaw.com/grayns-rice-cooker-malaysia-review-price-demo-how-to-use/
BELOW: Group demo of the GRAYNS at one of our customers’ home.
BELOW: Once the rice is cooked those present are requested to sample it. The rice should (and it does) taste exactly the same as if it was cooked in any ordinary rice cooker.
The difference is that the GRAYNS has eliminated the starch during the cooking process and via the REVOCOOK technology –>
You can test it (your blood sugar levels) via a blood glucose monitoring device as well if you wish.
So yes, get a group of friends/relatives together (minimum 5) and we can arrange for a demo session! 🙂
wah, i don’t think i have the discipline to survive even three days without either bread or rice or pasta, so your endurance is super-impressive and a testament to your character! 😀 grayns sounds good … a brand to remember 🙂
You don’t have to cut carbs Sean! You’re so thin already! 😀
