Weeks back I attended the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani Eyewear 2013 Collection Launch.
This particular launch was more significant as it also marks the appointment of a new distributor for Giorgio Armani & Emporio Armani eyewear in Malaysia – Sima Marketing Sdn Bhd.
The event started with cocktails followed by a sit-down dinner at Le Meridien. 2 sets of catwalks followed shortly after, the first showcasing the Giorgio Armani range then the Emporio Armani collection.
The values of Giorgio Armani are timeless and consistency, with simple but elegance designs. These were reflected very well in the its latest Spring Summer 2013 collection.
One set was the Easy Chic; with precise lines and pronounced elegance while the 2nd collection “Kaleidoscope“; such as its name suggests is slightly more colourful but with luxury embellishments such as crystals, jade and sequins. It’s a collection that encapsulates Armani in the choice of colours and the flowing simplicity of the shapes as if viewed through a kaleidoscope that decomposes. refracts and illuminates.
After our mains, the Emporio Armani Eyewear Spring Summer 2013 collection was next.

The Emporio Armani is the youthful and fresh label under Giorgio Armani. In price, it translates to better affordability as well. The Emporio Armani Eyewear collection follows the refined touches of Giorgio Armani but with injected trendiness and chic.
The glasses are both modern and refined thanks to the carefully designed rubber details and the unique finishes such as special opaque wood effect plastic material, tinted glasses and contrasting coloured rubber inserts on the arms that are pleasant to touch and produced with a bi-injection process that combines materials in a single united piece.
The colour range is extensive; more sober hues are cleverly complemented with light-hearted and lively pastel and metallic tints.
All in all, the Giorgio Armani collection embodies style and classicism and the Emporio Armani range was clean style with a touch of irony.
I do wonder about the durability and comfort of both labels though. Anyone here owns a pair? 🙂
i need new glasses already! the one i wear (for home use) is about eight years old! maybe i should consider getting glasses for public wear also, instead of contact lenses everyday 😀
Actually you should! For me I’m contemplating one as I drive around in the afternoons and some of these glasses has protective features! 🙂
