Psstt…
Hey, are you a fan of salted egg yolk?
No?
Oh, it doesn’t matter. You got to try this.
** RM15 for a big portion main plus a drink – this offer is valid from 26th to 28th February 2016.
Yes?
A die-hard fan of anything salted egg yolk?
Then you got to try this pasta!
Not a fan but curious enough?
Well, you got to try both of these!
Alright. I think you got my idea.
It is another salted egg yolk creation. And it is paired with PORK.
Siu Yok Salted Egg Yolk Pasta: Thick, juicy roast pork in creamy, robust salted egg yolk sauce and al-dente pasta.
**Normal price per portion is RM19 but as part of their 1st anniversary, it is only RM15 plus a drink on the 26 – 28th of February.

As you can see, there were slight differences in the roast pork. The team had since finalized the sauce but the consistency of the pork remains work-in-progress.
However, as of 28th February the skin is crispy (1st visit the skin was a bit chewy) and the cut is a mix of fat and lean.
I enjoyed the pasta as the salted egg yolk flavour was robust enough without being cloying.
Hidden cuts of bird eye chillies in the cream punctuated the creaminess with blasts of spicy surprises while the overall dish emits an overall pleasant fragrance due to the added curry leaves.
Going low carb?
Skip the pasta and order the siu yok (roasted pork) and devour it dipped in salted egg yolk sauce.
RM24 for this. Don’t you think it is super value for money??

Here’s a closer shot. Are you salivating yet?
Well, I am!
My friend who lunched here on Friday reported that the roast pork was cold and the skin could be crispier.
We visited together on Sunday and he admitted that the pork were much better by then.
The Gee and Geek team is working on maintaining the consistency of the roast pork and I hope they get it right soon.
I’ve been visiting this cafe often since this is one of my favourite cafes in PJ. The wifi works, the food is good, they serve PORK, the coffee and juices are great and their on-going set lunch and teatime promos are value for money (do check out their FB page for their promos).
I find their food and beverage items reasonably priced too for the location.
