Eucerin: AQUAporin ACTIVE Rich by Beiersdorf

This is NOT an advertorial.

Eucerin (by Beierdorf) recently launched their Aquaporin range of moisturisers & a bunch of us lucky girls were invited by Advertlets to the launch at Delicious, marc Residence.

All the pretty blogger babes in a row!!! (except for the guy on the left, SESAT fella.. 😉 )

all of us pretty gals

Food & drinks were served of course, but seriously, the food at Delicious needs improvement…

Eucerin Delicious1

But that’s ok, cos this post is all about

Eucerin’s AQUAporin…

Eucerin Delicious

So what is Eucerin’s AQUAporin ACTIVE ?
Simple. With AGE & UV rays (think of our insane Malaysian weather nowadays), the “aquaporins” in our skin decreases..

…resulting in dull and dehydrated skin.

old lady

Oh no…!!!!

No worries though, as with most problems, if not all, it is solvable with $$$$.

These “aquaporins” can be activated and rebuilt thanks to gluco- glycerol. Eiks..is all of this hocus – pocus for you? OK, try this:

Eucerin aquaporin

(Cute isn’t it? Thanks to Heidi for the illustration 😉  )

So, the red ‘freedom fighter” is aquaporin, – which apparently, memang ada is already in our body (yup, natural stuffs by our own body, no preservatives nor artificially injected chemicals).

Aquaporins are protein CHANNELS that enable the transport of water across cell membranes, forming a vital network to moisturize the skin from the basal to the top layers.

These special “water pores” were discovered by the American molecular biologist Peter Agre who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (2003). So this is not some “new” jibberish science used to sell more products.

In simple terms again, dry skin needs moisture, hence we apply “moisturisers” on our skin. But water from moisturisers needs help to penetrate into the deeper layers of epidermis..

Hence, thanks to gluco-glycerol (the substances in Eucerin’s Aquaporin Range), which helps stimulates our own body to create our freedom fighter here (the Aquaporin) in the deeper layers of the epidermis.

Eucerin aquaporin

So more aquaporins means better transport of moisture into the skin deeper layers and thus making skin optimally moisturized!

After a month of use, kiasu (scared to lose out) and ai-shui (want to look bootilicious & beeeuuuutiful) me STOCKED UP
