For today (Day 2), I’m already out of Melbourne CBD & I’m now in the Yarra Valley area. (Details of my Day 2 itinerary HERE)
Just for a quick update, here’s an uploaded video of my accommodation for the night. Sebel Lodge Yarra Valley is an absolutely gorgeous place! I wish I could write about it in detail but further info would be added into this post only when I’m back in KL as my schedule is really tight for this trip. As it is, I’m barely getting enough sleep. 🙁
The cost for my room is AUD195/night. (1AUD = RM3.09 now). I think it’s quite alright for a resort yea? Amenities in the room is pretty good, starting with the usual; a full toiletries set, hairdryer, fridge, TV,etc.
Only gripe I’ve got is that no complimentary bottled water is provided. I think that’s a very basic service & a must in all hotels, especially so for one where customers are paying a premium.
If you have watched the video, the shower room is on the other side of the washroom with the toilet bowl. I was thrilled at first upon sighting the bathtub, then I realized I barely have enough hours to sleep, much less for a soak.
These 2 bottles of water in the fridge are chargable. Luckily I called the front desk to check before drinking any.
The view of the garden was certainly a plus point. It would have been lovely to sit outside and read a book, or perhaps even suntan!
The worktable. WIFI/Broadband is chargeable at AUD0.55/min or AUD29/24 hours.
Note:
Sebel Lodge Yarra Valley is a boutique hotel within The Heritage Golf and Country Club. At the gateway to the Yarra Valley, The Sebel Lodge offers personal service in a relaxed atmosphere. The spacious guestrooms and suites are stylishly appointed and offer full hotel services and facilities. Hotel guests have access to the golf courses and the recreation club of the Heritage Golf & Country Club.
