It’s that time of the year again. It’s YEAR END!!
They say it’s the season of sharing and giving, so let’s grant-a-wish to the less fortunate shall we?
One World Hotel has launched its Grant-A-Wish programme to fulfill the Christmas wish of 30 children from the House of Joy. The children from the home will be hanging up their wish list on the 20-feet Christmas Tree at the hotel lobby.
The good news is that all the children’s wishes have been fulfilled by the hotel staff itself!
The House of Joy is located in Puchong and has around 55 children. Whereas, the Precious Children’s Home in Section 3 Petaling Jaya houses about 30 children. These two underprivileged homes survive solely on donations/contributions from the church and individuals for their monthly expenses.
It’s heartwarming to watch these children run about happily and the excitement on their faces as they tucked heartily into the buffet spread at Cinnamon Cafe.

During this festive season, One World Hotel is also taking on the Alvin and The Chipmunks theme. This is in collaboration with FOX’s forthcoming release of the move, Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 Chipwrecked on 15 December. Figurines of the Chipmunks are the main highlights at the hotel lobby.

Joining in the celebration that evening are carolers who belted out lively carols. The Chipmunks also made a special appearance alongside Santa and his helpers.
Cinnamon Coffee House will be offering special buffets during Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The turkey is not to be missed of course. And the Christmas-sy dessert counter too!

I’m loving the Christmas feel, thanks to all the festive decorations. The desserts counter was my favourite section that night, for obvious reasons.

A colouring contest for children aged 4 – 9 years will also be held on every Saturday and Sunday during hi-tea at Cinnamon Coffee House. Prizes such as hotel stays, F&B vouchers and the Chipmunks plush toys are waiting to be won.
