While I danced for hours in clubs before; rehydrating myself with cold bubbly and margaritas, dancing for 3 hours in the name of charity (kidneys no less) was a first.
Well, it turned out to be fun and I survived it, with much sweat shed and hopefully, fat burned! ๐
Most credit has to go to the Celebrity Fitness team of course, for they kept the energy high and the positive vibes going for 3 hours, non – stop.
Fun aside, the 500 strong participants grooved for a good cause.
This charity dance-athon raised RM15,000 to assist underprivileged kidney failure patients under the care of NKF.
NKF Vice Chairman Dr Thiruventhiran had said in his speech; “The number of kidney failure cases has been increasing at an alarming rate with over 5,000 Malaysians being diagnosed every year. Like any organ in our body, it is vital for us to take good care of our kidneys. This involves good diet and exercise, as well as sufficient sleep. And we are pleased to have collaborated with Celebrity Fitness Malaysia to organise this charity dance-athon. This is a fun and effective way of bringing people together, at the same time educating them about the risk factors of chronic kidney disease.”

Look at the energetic instructors go! These guys can shake alright! ๐
Thanks again Celebrity Fitness for the fun event and for making a difference for charity. ๐
