The Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel was the very first (I think) in the Klang Valley to host their ramadan buffet preview. And due to the early period the spread was really small and thus my review would be as short as the preview! 🙂
To start things off, the usual Malay raw salads and assorted sambals were present. In addition to that, there were bread based pizzas (which was deadly spicy!) and assorted appetisers.
My main stop for any buffets is the hot dishes (other than desserts) so I was more concerned with that section. At the hot station we were served chicken briyani, fish curry, lamb, sup ekor, prawns, stir fried mixed vegetables and dry chicken curry. All in all, the major food groups were covered!
I took a bit of each for sampling and found each to be passable.
At one end of the spread was a large grilled fish and a chicken rice stall. Both were decent enough.
Desserts were all that you see below and in addition to that, refreshing fresh fruits.
To be frank I have not dined at Terazza Brasserie in Dorsett Grand Subang before so I do not have an ideal of how the food is usually like. I’m sure the actual ramadan buka puasa spread would be much, much more than what we sampled that day. After all this was a preview.
Our dinner that night was graced by local celebrity Chef Jaafar Oon who did a live cooking demo as we dined.
This ramadan spread themed “Warisan Desa” at Terazza, Dorsett Grand Subang aims to celebrate togetherness and encourages diners to indulge in a wide array of traditional “balik kampung” dishes so you can expect spicy curries and local delicacies. deadly spicy pizzas? i’m scared already at the thought! 😀 on the bright side, the gravy prawns and the briyani rice look sedap 😀
Hmmm.. can’t decide since there wasn’t much of a spread that I can see here..
RM100++? How come it’s so expensive? I mean in KL there are buffets in 5 star hotels that are less than RM100.
