Has it been that long that I had my Sanuk? I checked back on my post of the launch of their concept store in eCurve which was when I came home with a pair of simple, black Sanuk. I have been wearing it ever since and yes, these are comfortable alright!
Light and durable;that’s my verdict after a year and a half (March 2012 til now July 2013). It was like wearing layers of yoga mats put together, a bit spongy but so pleasant to walk around with, even for hours when I was shopping in Bangkok. It was a worthy replacement of my fabulous Crocs!
My Sanuk. A bit frayed here and there but still holding up to the abuse I put it through. 🙂
Last week I stood and admired the new Spring/Summer collection by Bratpack, the very lifestyle store that houses a few of the coolest brands around under one roof.
Besides eyeing hot hunks that set my heart aflutter, I took keen interest in the new collection. Yes, really.
But first, let me show you the guy that got me smiling. This guy is just so cute yes?  😉
Ok, let’s focus on the collection now.
So, what else can I add to my wardrobe? I have traveled so much lately, and I could do with more comfortable and stylish clothing as well as bags.
Recently as an Air Asia blogger I met and had a casual chat with Aireen Omar, CEO of Air Asia Bhd. After the meeting I was given a return ticket to Vientiane, Laos!
Loas sounds ruggedly exciting! I’m planning my trip and it will be more on trekking (can’t wait to see the unspoiled terrain of Laos), walking, temples exploration, kayaking and of course EATING!
The weather will be warm and humid. And water sports means waterproof bags and airy clothing.
Which was the exact sort of clothing Bratpack umbrella of brands stocks. So far I have gone to the outlet at Publika and Bangsar Village and I have eyed a few items. From their latest collection for Spring/Summer 2013 are the incumbent Boxfresh, Brixton, ellesse, Native, Sanuk, Supra and Tretorn. But the new additions; Lyle & Scott, Kr3w and JanSport are very street-smart stylish from what I saw from their debut at Bratpack.
I’m eyeing this dress (but in orange) from ellesse – about RM210. I’m never a fan of blue.
This Limited Edition Watercolour Bird Print (bag as below) collection is the highlight for Herschel, a Canadian brand that manufactures the finest quality backpacks. The other bags I saw at the Publika outlet are very sturdy and rugged types and which are the ones I preferred.
One piece dresses in vibrant colours are very much my thing. This piece is from ellesse as well. The fabric is very light and airy, the exact reason why I like it, other than the multi-toned colour.
Other sporty yet trendy female collection includes hoodie, sweaters, tanks, shorts and of course comfortable casual shoes, all in assorted colours of the rainbow. So lively! I love it.
That said I liked the designs for men too. Men shouldn’t be afraid of wearing colours!
If I have a boyfriend I would “dress him up” like them (the models). Oh dear, I sound like I’m treating my BF like a Ken doll! 🙂
Last but not least, this is the 15th Anniversary Bratpack x JanSport backpack made with high quality suede and Cordura. It has the trademark suede bottom and the front pocket but this comes with additional designs on the front.
So who wants to follow me go shopping for my Laos trip? Also, anyone here wearing Fitflops? I want to know if the material is suitable for long walks on pebbly terrains and if it’s quick to dry since during my travels (especially Laos) the Fitflops will get dusty or wet and I like to wash my slippers.
