UPDATE:
My written piece out in the Malay Mail! 🙂
I had never thought I would attend a Avril Lavigne concert.
Admittedly I did enjoy a few of her songs but I wasn’t exactly a fan.
Still it was a good experience to watch her live. I only wished that she lived up to her punk princess and energetic bad girl screen persona for on stage she was really underwhelming and lacked the energy to keep the crowd going.
She started her performance with “Hello Kitty”, one of the new songs on her latest album. Her outfit was appropriately Harajuku-ish and embellished with Hello Kitty dolls.
To be honest I had a shock when I saw that. I mean.. what???
Thankfully she ditched that flounce and was sensibly garbed in her bad girl outfit of leather and loose top thereafter.
We were only allowed photography for the first 3 songs so that’s about all the photos Daniel (my partner in crime) got during the concert.
Here’s the song list for that night:
- Hello Kitty
- Girlfriend
- Rock N Roll
- Here’s To Never Growing Up
- Always Get
- Hush Hush
- Let Me Go
- My Happy Ending
- Don’t Tel Me
- Complicated
- Bad Girl Intro / Bad Girl
- He Wasn’t
- Losing Grip
- Drum Solo
- Sk8er Boi
- What The Hell
- Smile
- I’m With You
Would you have paid to watch Avril Lavigne live?
