1 Day Acuvue Moist – Advantages of daily contacts vs monthly contacts

1 month is up after my previous eye check; [Details HERE ] & I have been using the 1 Day Acuvue Moist contact lens instead of my usual monthly contacts.

So the time has come for me to share my opinion of the 1 Day Acuvue Moist contact lens.

Other than the obvious factors, which is convenience, cos you get to throw it out after one day, the $ savings of not having to buy saline solution since you won’t have to soak the lenses overnight as well as light traveling, as you do not need to lug bottles of saline with you but just packs of new contacts, there are a few other essentials points to highlight about 1 Day Acuvue Moist contact lens.

For myself, I always have this problem:

Though I’m paying for monthly contacts; every month, mine would barely last 2 weeks before this would happen. Else it is a stratch right in the centre of the lens.
Naturally, my contacts supply of 6 months lasted only for 3-4 months.

I guess it’s due to the long hours and heavy use of contacts in my daily lifestyle. I wake up very early and I’m up til late at night, at the gym, office, meetings, then events at night in smoky and badly ventilated venues.

All in all, I’m certainly appreciative of the fact that my eyes are not stinging and dry by 9pm at night. Likewise, my eyes felt fresher due to CLEAN FRESH lenses every day.

The convenience of being able to just throw away the lenses after use each night are perfect for the busy and lazy busy-bee me. 😉

The difference in price for monthly lenses and dailies are a factor to consider of course, but there’s always a price to pay for convenience right?

For me, no price is too high for the sake of my eyes’ health. What do you think?
