Wallop Pork Burgers : SS2 PJ – It’s GOOD, wholesome pork patties!

Not surprisingly, another porky joint has commenced business in SS2 area.

What’s surprising however, is the fact that this joint sells ONLY pork burgers; and nothing else.

A simple shop with an eye-catching red signboard and even more straightforward menu, Wallop focus solely on it’s star product; which is it’s juicy, lean yet tasty pork patties (burgers).

The order process is simple – decide on how many pork patties do you want in your burger and then decide on the add-ons.

Mamma Wallop (RM6.00)
Single patty
Lettuce, tomato, mayo

Papa Wallop (RM9.80)
Double patties
Lettuce, tomato, mayo + CHEESE

Sergeant Wallop (RM12.80)
Triple patties
Lettuce, tomato, mayo + CHEESE

Now, I have eaten many pork burgers in the past year; ranging from the simple hawkers stalls ones to greasy pubs creations and eventually progressing to fancy ones in restaurants and cafes.
And honestly? Wallop’s pork burger proves that good wholesome patties doesn’t have to come at a price.

Well seasoned and lean, I appreciate that the patties were not grounded too finely and maintained a toothsome coarse bite. Even the bun was soft and tasty, unlike the cheap porous ones that breaks apart in your hands.

All of the above made for a scrumptious meal for less than RM10!
However, I was extremely ravenous today, and the burger above didn’t fill me up a bit!
Thus I highly recommend going for triple patties (The Sergeant Wallop) and adding on EVERYTHING – mushrooms (RM1.00), egg (RM1.10), cheese (RM1.30), pineapple (RM1.10) and bacon (RM1.30).

Below: TRIPLE patties baby! :P

That was Justin’s order – a Pappa and a Sergeant with add-ons!

Happy but famished Justin!

I took half of the Pappa Wallop (the one below with 2 patties) while Justin finished the remainder in mere minutes. Both of us were still hungry after that… -_-

I’m not saying that the burgers were not substantial. I’m afraid both of us are just gluttons!
For my next visit, it’s Sergeant Wallop + bacon + egg + mushrooms + pineapple for me. Obviously nothing less will do. :P

So, would I recommend this porky joint to my friends?
Definitely! Go for its simple delicious burgers that’s homemade minus any preservatives and grilled without fat. Even the bacon is not overly sodium-fied and the mushrooms not heavily sauteed in butter.
Be like me, I had my burger without mayo and without butter on the bun. A burger doesn’t have to reek of grease!

Disclaimer: I like my burgers lean, fairly seasoned and without additional dressing. If you a sloppy Ramly burger lover, then this might not be agreeable to your palate.

The burgers look nice! Although erm perhaps the owner should have / could have invested a *small* amount more on designing his signboard =)

no wonder this shop has no business even on sunday evening.

the patty is so thin, seriously i can only taste the bread .

no wonder everyone is going to the burger lab instead. and the angry aunty shop owner cannot stop scolding her worker.

non stop for 10 mins while i was waiting for the burger. omg……will i go again? nope.
if i have to get triple patty and add all the ingredient, i might as well cook myself.

    1. rebeccasaw

MY top pick for burgers would be myburgerlab too. bear in mind that this is pork burger, and the price. So direct comparison would be unfair. Anyhow u get what you pay for I guess.
As for the treatment of the workers, I wouldn’t know. I have not seen that happen. I have not been back here since this blogpost either.
