California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC believes in constant refreshing & introduction of new exciting items, sometimes in tandem with festivals, sometimes for a bit of shaking things up on their already rather extensive menu.
Just earlier this year ( post HERE ) I was wow-ed by the chinese – inspired new items CPK added for Valentine’s Day & Asian Delight Lunar New Year Menu (think kung-po pasta & peking duck pizza!! ) & yesterday, I was bowled over by CPK’s CHEESEBURGER PIZZA!
During the previous review, I didn’t exactly like the taste of all the items as I find some to be overpowering; but this time, I was hard pressed to find any fault.
The cheeseburger pizza was probably the most anticipated one for me. Me, a pizza lover & burger – fanatic thought I would start dancing on the tables when I was told of such a lethal combo.

In continuation from my post showcasing the Celebrity Chefs Special menus for the Midsummer Nights Feast 2010, (Check it out HERE – it’s not that expensive really…), I have compiled below the special menus by the above mentioned outlets for the week of Jul 2nd to Jul 9th.
Thanks to YTL, I had a blast stuffing myself silly with bite sized canapes at each of the participating outlets during the media launch. Datin Yasmin was there to officiate the event with a short, concise speech about the Celebrity Chefs this year as well as a brief introduction about the line-up of events to expect for this year’s Midsummer Nights Feast @StarHill Gallery.

14 years ago, a suave Italian
came to Malaysia and made Malaysia his home.
Like all others, he seeked the comfort of his country’s cuisine & FORTUNATELY for us, he did NOT open ANOTHER Italian restaurant.
Instead, he creates with his hands..lovely creamy gelato, the way he knows how, the way he recalls they were like in Italy & as authentically as possible despite being 9700km away from home.
Dr. Massimo Minecci started Gelatomio (aptly named My Gelato), from a humble 12 flavours shop to currently a gelati-empire boasting 60 flavours with outlets in Time Square, Subang Parade, Pavilion KL, Penang, Melaka and Johor.
He supplies approximately 70 major hotels and restaurants in KL which includes Shangri-La, Le Meridien, Pan Pacific, Prince Hotel, Hilton, G Hotel, chinoiz and espressamente.

I have expected nothing less than stellar food for this session considering that I have been following Ms Jazz’s blog for a while. She is quite a food connoisseur herself, having been out of the country (it does broadens one’s culinary buds right?) as well as a regular patron in most fine dining restaurants.
Her reviews were pretty critical as well as honest. Which brings me to Silver Spoon Trattoria, her very own family establishment. One wouldn’t expect anything less than the best.
For example, the Chef is Chef Ken, who was the same Chef @ Ken’s cafe previously. Apparently he has quite a reputation.
And he is famous for his Tiramisu, or so I heard. Well, I find the Creme Brule (RM14) too sweet, the tiramisu (RM16) OK, intoxicatingly infused with alcohol (great for alcoholics) and the Choc Pot (RM15) a perfect medley of flavor and texture (mousse-like) but wonderfully rich. Yes, the chocolate pot is my favourite.
