Out of the many outlets, one that stood out was this “needs lessons in branding” Yong Tau Foo Eat and Happy kiosk right in the middle of spanking new Lower Ground floor, 1 Utama.

After years as one of the premiere Sze Chuan and Cantonese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, Ti Chen has been closed for several weeks whilst the restaurant has undertaken a new facelift project.
Located at the Saujana Golf & Country Club (the right turning before The Saujana Hotel’s main entrance) I must admit I have never heard of Ti Chen.
I was more familiar with The Restaurant, as there were some online coverage on blogs and my virginal visit to The Restaurant was just a few months back .
Then I have been to Senja on several occasions for events and launches. And I have heard of Kogetsu Japanese Restaurant. But Ti Chen? This was an absolute first.
Ti Chen reopened last week just in time for the Chinese New Year. I hopped in, lou-ed yee sang with luscious slices of salmon and had an overview of the Chef’s prowess in Cantonese cuisine.

A friend of mine (Nigel aka flyguy) drove a Toyota Avanza. Knowing his boisterous ways & highly opinated self, I would have heard all about the car on FB, twitter or his blog if the Avanza was problematic.
The fact that I have yet to hear any complains must have meant something. 
2 weeks back UMW Toyota Motor unveiled the all new Toyota Avanza, the 2nd generation of the popular 7 seater MPV.

It was huge privilege to be in the Jaguar showroom last week at Pavilion to witness the unravelling of the “new” Jaguar XF.
Though I’m not as automotively -inclined nor not as “educated” or familiar with automotives abracadabra as my media peers that day, I, like everyone else are familiar with the prestige and quality associated with Jags.
According to my fellow automotive gurus, the 3 variants of Jaguar XF launched that day was more of a facelift from the previous models.

For the past week I have been busy hopping from one car launch to another.
Perhaps it’s a mark of ushering in the new year and new indulgences in the form of vehicles and gadgets are equivalent to a self pat on the back for surviving the past year. Thus what better time would it be to launch new car models?
Whatever it is, a beautiful car is worth the time and attention.
