P1 ForHome™ – for my office and home

Change in life is constant. Especially more for me.

Recent overhaul in my life encompasses both career and life; for I now have 2 rented “homes” and another for the office plus 2 central kitchens.

And thus, an URGENT NEED surfaced: Wireless internet for both new homes and offices.
We can’t live without broadband internet. My staff and I are constantly on our laptops and phones. Orders, email, research.
Of course our Internet plan has to be UNLIMITED!

Broadband in Malaysia can be pretty crappy and is currently monopolized by a certain government body. For my new home & office I decided to test out P1 ForHome™.

This is my first time using P1. My colleague was tasked to do the research for our new Broadband and from this site (http://www.p1.com.my/forhome/) the packages looks ideal for our needs.

So what was it about P1 ForHome™ that is attractive to us?

    • –  P1 ForHome™ is a portable home broadband, giving you the flexibility to use it at more then 1 location.
It sounds crazy but it makes more sense to MOVE the modem than my whole team around the office right?
Some seem to underestimate the portability factor of a ForHome™ unit – notice the moments when you have to walk and sit in the hall area when you surf on your mobile, tablets and laptops? Why can’t you surf in the comfort and privacy of your room? Just because your modem is stuck to the wall in the hall??
    • –  P1 ForHome™ is built Plug n’ Play.
For the consumer who are renting or do not want to drill holes around their house to install home broadband, ForHome™ is definitely the solution for you.
I’m definitely not keen to reimburse my landlord when I move out at a later date. Rewiring, repainting, etc = MONEY!
On another note, we all know how reliable a certain broadband solution provider can be.
The burden of setting up an appointment, waiting for the engineers to come and drill and rewire your office/home for the set up and having to make sure there are people at home/in the office while the engineers takes hours to get their work done – been there done that. NO MORE PLEASE!

    • –  With P1’s recent strategic ties with TM, P1 ForHome has also bundled HomeVoice offering to include TM fixed lines into the plan. The new P1 ForHome™ plan now allows the consumers to make free calls to any TM fixed lines.
    • –  All plans come with a free rental modem, which is WiFi enabled.
No extra charges is always good news. 🙂

ooo, tempting on many levels, especially the unlimited data, since maxis currently caps me at 12gb for peak hours per month.
i actually used p1 for about a year, but with the much smaller modem. the connection at my apartment was iffy though … it often lost the connection, and the speed wasn’t up to mark. so i cancelled earlier this year before my contract ended, and i was very pleasantly surprised by the customer service. they were very efficient about it, and they waived the penalty fee for early cancellation since my reason was that the connection wasn’t stable enough.
maybe the bigger modem would work better for me 🙂

Taht’s nice of them! To not insist that you still have to pay in full.
Yes the new modem I believe so might help with the signal. Perhaps you can try again this time! 🙂
