In continuation of my crazy protein bar/snack/energy bar eating spree, this Nature’s Way, SlimRight Bar – Mocha with Chia Seeds was a bar that I grabbed as a 10pm snack.
It was a rainy evening and I was still hungry even after my usual 5 meals/day portions. That’s not a usual thing to happen, and while I wasn’t sure why I had such a particularly good appetite that day, I do know that I’m NOT going to eat any carb-laden food since it was already 10pm!
The Nature’s Way, SlimRight Bar – Mocha with Chia Seeds is a 30g bar that clocks in at less than 90 calories,10 g of protein and less than 3 g of sugar.
It tasted great; soft, almost nougat-like kind of chewiness and had a good balance of flavours from chocolate, soy protein and coffee.
Yup, it doesn’t have that strong, chalky whey/protein powder aftertaste that afflict most bars. Yay! 🙂
And just to be clear; SlimRight protein bars aren’t for musclebound body builders.
They are suitable for women and men who are “carb conscious” and trying to lose weight. So it works ideally as a snack between meals or something to support your exercise regime since SlimRight bars are a great, low carb, high energy alternative.
The only thing I didn’t like about it was how soft it is and that it gets out of shape easily (even while it was still in the packaging). It makes my pictures turn out terrible!
Ermm .. ok, that’s not a legit complaint huh? 😛
Satiety factor: Hmm.. it did halt my hunger after I finished about 3/4 of it but I still think that as a standalone snack it might not be substantial enough to make you full.
