Nasi Lemak Sushi, Chicken Rice Sushi @ Ruyi & Lyn, BSC

There was a nasi lemak gelato that took Klang Valley by storm, then there is the nasi lemak creme brule that garnered some waves.

This nasi lemak sushi?

I dare bet that it would be a bigger hit, considering the current thirst for innovative & “instagrammable” food.
The plus point here is in its taste, for since every component is a true representation of the original dish, it taste as good as it looks, not merely just cute in appearance.

In other words, there is substance in its looks.

A platter of this is RM43++ and it is currently only available at the swankiest new Modern Asian restaurant, speakeasy, lounge and bar venue; Ruyi & Lyn.

Ruyi & Lyn has connection to the Oriental Group of Restaurants, so they are certainly not newbies to the food.

I stepped in for the first time yesterday for a luncheon hosted by MHD and in between swigs of the limited edition Johnny Walker Blue Label I enjoyed the tapas and explored the venue.

What truly stood out however, was this sushi platter, both in terms of presentation & flavours.

I have not sampled the mains so there will be no further comment on the food for now.
A friend of mine who is a regular at bars and pubs commented that their cocktails and other drinks are fairly price, and I’m inclined to take his word for it.

In short, those seeking an all-in-one contemporary venue for an indulgent time of cigars, food, cocktails, wines, liquors plus live DJ would find Ruyi & Lyn ideal as their second home.

The establishment is tastefully decorated complete with unique designer furniture and art pieces. Separate areas suit different purpose; whether for the business folks to conclude a deal over drinks and cigars, or a family for lunch or just for coffee.
