myBurgerLab – 10 burgers for dinner!

This is my second visit to myBurgerLab and I had to make it worth my while. The queue is horrendous, the wait is punishing, and the crowd is maddening.

Thus we figured that we might as well try all the burgers on the menu, and here we are; taking on 10 burgers at one sitting! :DD

There were 6 of us so it was easy-peasy. Too bad we forgot to take a group picture! 🙁
Well at least there was this epic shot to remember the night – here’s me gobbling down my burger and my foodie partners in tow, KC and Kevin. Best foodies friends they are; game for anything and has always accompanied me in almost all my eating adventures! 😛

From my previous visit where I only sampled 2 burgers, now I have sampled ALMOST all of the burgers on the menu!

Here’s a comprehensive picture and description of each of the burgers we had. I’ll add in some comments here and there, but the chicken filet and beef patty are essentially the same, so there’s isn’t a need for me to reiterate “juicy, moist, flavourful, perfectly seasoned, tender and absolutely delicious” again and again right? :DD

myburgerlab Chicken Curry Crunch (grilled chicken, crispy hash brown, English curry and smashed patty) – RM15.50. This was made slightly different from the Spicy Hawaiian with the addition of the curry and minus the pineapple. But don’t expect tongue numbing heat as it’s more of an “english” curry, so think “mustard“. I’m not a chicken fillet burger fan (burgers to me means PATTY, not fillets)  but trust me, you WOULD WANT to order the chicken burgers here!  It’s so tender (there I used that word again), so flavor-rich and so tasty that I’m almost certain that you’ll be a fan from the first bite!

myburgerlab Hangover Burger (beef patty, crispy hash brown, maple syrup and mushrooms) – RM16.00. I had this before and it was just as good this evening. I like all myBurgerLab burgers that that comes with hashbrown. Drizzling maple syrup on the hashbrown is just briiiillllliannnt.

myburgerlab Beautiful Mess (beef patty, fried Portabello mushroom, sunny side-up and mozzarella cheese) – RM18.00.
This is my favourite!
I’m so absolutely in love with the crunch from the battered portabello wedges. Yet in contrast, each chew oozes juicy, sweet mushroom juices that imparts additional moisture in the mouth as you devour each bite. A word of caution: keep your mouth close and don’t attempt to speak else risk dripping from the sides of your mouth! 😀
I’m of the opinion that eggs make anything better, so this burger just can’t go wrong for me. 😛

A++ (Sharp cheddar cheese, caramelised onions (I dont rmbr any?) , enoki and shitake mushrooms) – RM14.00. There’s currently 3 types of cheeses to match with for your burgers. Your burger of choice may come with Swiss/Cheddar but you can opt to add a Parmesan Crisp, one of mrBurgerlab’s latest invention. As pictured below, it’s a thin disc of crunchy parmesan cheese. It’s stronger in flavour and favored the burger with a saltier finish.

myburgerlab Swisstake (beef patty, melted Swiss cheese, enoki and shiitake) – RM16.00.
Beef, cheese and mushrooms. Burger King, Carls Junior and almost all American burger joint knows they are a trio to be reckoned with and the smart engineers behind myBurgerLab knows it too.

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (13)

myburgerlab The Seattle (Cheddar melted beef patty, espresso spiked umami mayo and a sunny side-up) – RM15.00. myBurgerlab’s latest prodigy aims to impress and it did.

Look at the marvelous patty and oozy cheese. You would wish to make each bite last!
Heck, it’s meat patty, egg and cheese in a bun. Your basic hamburger. But myBurgerLab’s Seattle tasted just right in the mouth. Admittedly the espresso spiked umami mayo was lost on me yesterday. I must have this again on its own (yes, minus 9 other burgers) and attempt to seek out the flavour of the special mayo.

myburgerlab Veg Shroom Shroom Shroom (Portabello mushroom, enoki, shiitake and swiss cheese) – RM21.00 for set, RM15 ala carte.

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (8)

This freaking monstrous portabello was meaty and remarkably juicy and sweet. Vegetarians are obviously not neglected nor forgotten. Remember vegans, give myburgerlab fellows a hug when you are here! 😛

myburgerlab part 2

myburgerlab Spicy Hawaiian (grilled chicken, grilled pineapple, red sauce and mozzarella) – RM20.00 set, RM14.00 ala carte. I love their homemade red sauce! 🙂 Check out my previous review HERE.

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (7)

myburgerlab Jam with Elvis (beef patty, blueberry n peanut butter jam, cheese and caramelized onions) – RM16.50.
This is the BOMB! Beef and peanut butter and blueberry jam.. Elvis would have approved!

myburgerlab seapark PJ - Elvis

myburgerlab Say Cheese (smashed beef patty, sharp cheddar n Parmesan crisp) – RM11.00. Cheese lovers, this is for you!

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (1)

myburgerlab Fried Portabello Mushrooms – RM15.00. This is similar to the ones in the Beautiful Mess burger. Have a basket of this if you missed ordering the Beautiful Mess or to fend off grubby hands from your burger!

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (9)

Smooshie RM5.50 – (Dragon fruit and red apple) for me! 🙂 I don’t drink soft drinks.

KC myburgerlab seapark PJ - (5)

Total Bill: RM189.50 for 10 quality burgers made with care and with premium ingredients. Much better than some burgers I paid RM25++ for in outlets such as Alexis, Delicious, La Bodega (comparing beef to beef). Don’t get me started on the chicken or pork.

A delicious bun is central to the burger’s appeal. The home-baked charcoal buns here are soft and matched perfectly with their burgers, not to mention the clever marketing it gives myBurgerLab as it provides a distinct identification from other burger joints.

I have mentioned this before and I’ll re-iterate. Every element that goes into mybugerlab’s burgers or anything on their menu is carefully thought of and researched to ensure the best taste. Burgers that comes with wilted lettuce and carelessly sliced bland tomatoes are the norm, but at myburgerlab’s, sweet roasted cherry tomatoes and crunchy lettuce makes you ask for more. I also love their french fries, fried to a perfect crisp without  being greasy and seasoned with rosemary herbs.

  4. Moji

is this place Halal or Non-Halal??
    looks very good 😀

    1. rebeccasaw

Meat (beef) and their sauces are from halal suppliers. The outlet is not halal certified as yet.

      1. Moji

        Thx 😀

      2. rebeccasaw

        No problem 🙂
Hope you get to try it soon!

  5. steff

    1. rebeccasaw

Dear Steff, do you know where is Seapark market? Same block/row!:)

  6. Sean

That’s one of the awesome things about this place! One visit isn’t enough … Heck, two visits aren’t enough either! 😀

    1. rebeccasaw

Aiyo, can visit again and again and again! Just that the queue is so horrible!

    1. rebeccasaw

Damn it is! Maybe we can go back again.. next year lol

      1. Verne

Wait for the hype to die down then we go without queuing. LOL. /hope

      2. rebeccasaw

        Hahah I doubt it’s hype.
It seems to be building up in traction/momentum..

      3. Cindy Tong

Let’s see how long the hype will last…

  7. Cindy Tong

approx 12hours from now i will be there to try my very first burger there…but I don’t think I can taste all 10…mayb 2 at a time LOL

      1. Cindy Tong

Ill be glad to chew my burger wit u lol.. Jus ring ring me if u happen to be there…

      2. rebeccasaw

HAha I have to stay away else I won’t stop eating.. How was it?

      3. Cindy Tong

oh noooo…perhaps my expectation is high..but it rather disappointing to me as all the 3 patties were to salty for us…

      4. rebeccasaw

Salty?? That’s new. I’m rather salt intolerant and I did find the chicken one slightly salty but I thought it was just me. Beef no, didn’t feel that at all.
        Going again tmw!

      5. Cindy Tong

we all agree that the beef patties were too salty, at times i can even bite the “salt” i’d actually think they still some improvement in their quality control..for engineer background they should know this very well….

  8. Timing

What sort of queue time is required (for let’s say a fri/sat dinner)? I suppose judging by the look of the place they don’t accept reservations?

    1. rebeccasaw

FRi/SAt maybe 2 hrs. Just got to go by 430pm. Then maybe waiting time is 30mins? Nope, no reservation allowed.

  9. CG

I noticed they didn’t even use any mayonnaise to go with the burgers.

  10. Cindy Tong

Reli that good meh??? Mmmm doubting whether to give them one more chance to prove to me that their burger reli that good!

    1. rebeccasaw

One of the chicken burger was salty but my salt tolerance levels are really low. The 10 burgers we had were alright, and there were 6 of us~

  11. Cindy Tong

Mayb ill give a try again…. Then ill decide whether they r tgat tasty…

    1. rebeccasaw

Yes, and tell them if it’s salty! I alws do that wherever I eat. Cos I believe you should tell them on the spot. At least they know it’s true.

      1. Cindy Tong

That day itself tell liow.. Heee.. Hope they make improvements.?

  12. Andrew

Ohhh so you’re the one that ordered 10 burgers the other night !!! hahaha… Awesome stuff Rebecca.

  13. Huai Chien

I went to this place at 5:25pm mid-week thinking that it’s before dinner time so I can have a quick burger fix. Wrong! They open at 5pm and there were already people standing around waiting for tables. I have no passion for such queues so gave them a miss. There MUST be a “We serve free food” sign that I had missed.

    1. rebeccasaw

Hahah it’s the biggest thing now in PJ dear!
And yes, I won’t queue either. But when you’re there with a big bunch of friends, I made exceptions 🙂

  14. Verne

It’s 3am, and I’m doing a post on MyBurgerLab and I’m friggin’ hungry. Argh.

    1. rebeccasaw

The queue really put me off. I havent been back since 🙂
