My Daily Obsession – BREAD!!!!

I’m soooo loving it!!!

Banana WalnutSGD2.95.

banana walnutThick with generous bits of bananas and chunks of walnuts.
Even the dough itself has strong taste of banana! Great toasted with cheese OR… it’s so good, you can even eat it on its own!! ;p

Corn LoafSGD2.95.

corn

Very very fragrant..just with salted butter will do it justice!

Choc ChipSGD2.95.

choc chip

Rich..thick..chocolatey… daub thickly with hazelnut spread and savour it slowly..hhmmm

Multi Grain. SGD2.80.

multi-grain

Healthy, filling and all fibrous goodness..
Other than wholemeal flour, bran and wheat germ, it also contains…
Flax seeds, purple wheat flakes, corn grits, rye flakes, triticale flakes, barley flakes, millets, sunflower seeds, rolled oats, whole spelt flakes and quinoa.
Amazing, isn’t it? Who says bread/carbs are bad???

Though one would expect this to be rough with scratching- the -throat kinda of texture, it is instead soft and light, with a pleasant nutty flavour.
Gimme half boiled eggs, butter & kaya please!!

Home baked goodness by a friend, who also kindly “smuggled” in 6 loaves of bread for me..Sunflower and Walnut Organic Whole meal – the most delicious one of them all!! SGD – priceless.
chew's
Please please..anyone going Singapore soon?? ;p

  2. 550ml jar of faith

Your friend is indeed a priceless one!! Six loaves! I've long given up on local Gardenia but you make the SG ones sound amazing!! How can there be such a huge difference?

  3. gill gill

walao eh, 6 loafs? eh, m'sian always far behind others, even a loaf! so many choices and selection from the same brand. it reminds me, i had my McD bfast when i was standard 4 travel in S'pore. yearsssss after and here only have the same thing while i was in late 20's….WTF, really disappointing.

    Wake Up Malaysia!

  5. burpandslurp

I'm SO glad we're over the low-carb phase. That was just plain stupid and torturing.
I never did like gardenia and bonjour breads so much though…They're so white and fluffy and soft! I guess that is a good thing for some people, but I like bread with hard crusts and good chewability!

steven goh: lol. No, wont grw fungus so fast! this trip he drove, the last time my BF bought via flight & hand carried!

gill gill: true true..why yar?? I tot "Msia selalu boleh"??

wilson: yup I like tht one too! The Spread in MV is so expensive.
This bakery – Pistachio with branches in Setapak, Tmn setiawangsa makes it really well and less expensive. But far..

  7. thenomadGourmand

burpandslurp: ohh..i knw what ya mean. For me hard crusts and chewable types are for more savoury sandwiches, with eggs, bacon,ham..yums…

  9. backStreetGluttons

This top Malaysian bakery & bread manufacturer has got the Malaysian pulse and we hope they will soon cut across the cake shop boundaries & give those wannaB Europeanised pasty shops in Malls a run for their money!
At down to earth prices plse with more local ingredients then we will support them like Hell.
