MAT ROCK food truck – Nasi Ayam Goreng Kunyit !

Cheap, decent portion and tasty – Mat Rock ticks all the right boxes.

That and the fact that Mat Rock scoops in their unique and fiery sambal belacan in every pack, and a touch of this potent concoction just turn everything in the pack into a dynamite.

However, Mat Rock Nasi Ayam Kunyit isn’t quite the same without the sambal. So the sambal is a MUST.

If you’re a sucker for punishment, request for copious amount of it over your pack.

There are plenty of reviews online about how good Mat Rock is, but personally I find it merely decent (mostly overfried pieces of chicken), but the sambal is the ultimate.

The make up of a RM5 pack is simple enough; bite sized chicken pieces marinated in turmeric and salt, deep fried to a golden crisp plus vegetables (long beans, onions, carrots) and dashes of sweet soy sauce.

The plain Ayam Kunyit set is RM5 and a mixed pack (mix of meat/seafood) starts from RM8.

It is a quick and filling meal to fuel up your day.

Mat Rock runs several trucks within Selangor/KL but none of them are near you, there is a 1300 number (1300 88 5800) for deliveries straight to your office or home.
It is free if you order 10 packs and above, otherwise a charge of RM 2 is imposed.

i like how they apologised on their price list about having to raise their prices … sounds reasonable and true … and with everything still below RM10, it’s fair 🙂
