Lenny & Larry’s Fit Protein Brownie – Chocolate Raspberry Review

As you know I got home from my recent Singapore trip with a stash of protein bars and cookies and whatever else.
This is a little experiment that I’m doing; testing out these protein snacks to see if they actually work (ie most claim to keep you full) and if they actually taste as good as advertised.

After 3 Quest bars I’m more or less inclined to conclude that Quest Bars are chewy bricks (they are really dense & sticky) and some more delicious than others.
I still have 9 bars more to go so I’m taking it slow.

Luna Bar and Clif Bars are nice but they are loaded with sugar, almost as much as the amount of protein they claim to stuff within each bar.

The Lenny & Larry’s Fit Protein Brownie is fudgy, soft and moist.
The bits of raspberry added a nice fruity sweetness to the overall chocolate taste.

Would I mistake it for a real brownie? No, I’m not going to lie. I would not.
But they do taste almost 80% of the real thing without that weird protein-y aftertaste that accompanies so many workout bars.
Increase that to 90% by zapping it for 10 seconds (without wrapper) in the microwave and savour its full decadent glory all warm and moist.

What other brownies (conveniently in a pack too) that offers the same chocolaty indulgence at just under 200 (190, to be exact)?

Calorie count aside, they’re high in protein too at 13 grams so you’re able to fuel your body minus the ridiculous amount of calories or fat.

This is also a quality snack for diabetics, Celiacs and non-GMO enthusiasts.
PPS:
I will try to get my hands on the Complete Cookie by Lenny & Larry’s (available in 6 scrumptious flavors including: Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate, Lemon Poppy Seed, Pumpkin Spice, Oatmeal Raisin and Peanut Butter) soon!
And last but not least, these cookies are VEGAN. 🙂
