Guardian Mixed Grains & Oats 30+ : A cup a day for a healthier diet!

We are just blessed with too much good food available conveniently at almost all hours of the day.

Every occasion is celebrated with food, every event attended offers food and if there is a reason for a gathering, we chat and laugh over more food.

The current generation live to eat, rather than eat to live.

Heck, I’m a glutton myself, though I’m much more aware than most of what I consume.

You see, the enjoyment of food isn’t a sin per se, the lack of a balanced diet is.

So how does one go about eating well but healthy?

Well, like I’ve always said, enjoy food, but choose wisely.

Fortunately for us F & B companies had realized the need for more nutritionally balanced snacks which are convenient to prepare as well.

For instance, Guardian launched Guardian Mixed Grains & Oats 30+, a beverage designed to help Malaysians get the fibre they need for better health.

The drink offers a nutrition and fibre-rich combination of imported Swedish oat bran powder that has more than 30% oat beta-glucan.

Preparation is simple, for all one had to do with to add 1-2 scoops of this fibre-rich, bad cholesterol reducing powder into lukewarm water and give it a quick stir.

A glass per day (2 scoops) supplies 3.6 gram beta-glucan and the amount of beta-glucan recommended for cholesterol lowering effect is 3 g per day.

Besides the beta-glucan, consuming Guardian Mixed Grains & Oats 30+ offers the added benefits from oats, chia seeds, barley and brown rice, all healthy and fibre-rich ingredients.

While fresh, fibre-rich foods such as whole grains, fruit, vegetables, legumes, beans, nuts and seed are encouraged, there are times when we are not able to include them in our diet in its original form.

Thus keeping a tin of fibre-rich drink near you offers all the goodness in a handy manner that can be prepared conveniently.

Remember folks, ‘prevention is better than cure’ still rings true, and a fibre rich diet may hold the key in prevention as well as managing some of the common health problems people are facing now, namely high blood cholesterol level, hypertension, diabetes and cancer.

So buy! Don’t say I bojio ok! 😀

PS: I personally like it better with added fruits like a shake. Just think of it alike protein powder and add it to your smoothies, shakes and milo or milk.
It does taste better that way, trust me! 🙂
