Remember me cleaning out my bathroom and recently I posted about trying out method Malaysia’s kitchen cleaning products?
Well, here’s the verdict!
Let me start with the All Purpose Cleaning Spray (828ml) – RM13.80.
This turned out to be my favourite because well, it’s ALL PURPOSE. If you have to buy only ONE method kitchen product, THIS IS IT.
I was glad to read on the bottle that it’s suitable for wood, glass, tiles and metal. My immediate thought went to my kitchen cabinets. Since I moved in a year ago, I have not cleaned them.
This is an old house and the old style wooden table and countertops are still in place.
The usual soap may cause decay in the long run and I had always been careful to use only moist cloth to wipe the wood. The result wasn’t exactly spotless but it keeps it clean enough.
Just like the method set ‘loo crew bathroom kit the procedure of use for the kitchen products are as simple; just twist the cap to open the valve, spray/squirt and wipe. If you’re as anal as I am perhaps you might want to leave it on the surface for about a minute before wiping with a cloth.
Spotless. Some old stains actually came off as I wiped.
I decided to spray some on the counter top and the kitchen walls beside the sink too. It is multi-purpose after all and it claims to work on tiles as well.
Work tables . I’m sure EVERYBODY has an IKEA table at home?
Well, I have 6! They are my work tables, my extra kitchen table, my room table. These are made from wood, and since I always buy mine in white, it picks up grime easily and it gets yellow-ish after prolonged use.
A few sprays of method’s All Purpose Spray did the job.
I’m not done yet with the method All Purpose Cleaning Spray.
Since I was already cleaning out my kitchen, I decided that the fridge, microwave oven, rice cooker and the blender could do with some love too. You can see the results as below. No worries about using harsh chemicals and its residues in your cookware as ALL method products are made from natural and environmental friendly ingredients.
Simple. Spray and wipe or wash.
For washing kitchen utensils stay with the method Dish Soap Pump (532ml) – RM18.80.
Squirt a bit on your choice of washing cloth and proceed to wipe over the plates, chopping boards, pots and pans.
It washes off easily as it has less suds.
Myth : If your soap is making a nice, foamy, bubbly lather, it’s working.
All that those suds shows that sudsy (as opposed to non-sudsy) soap is present. But soaps that don’t foam clean as well as soaps that do!
Dishwashers clean without any bubbles at all. The difference between a soap that massively suds and one that doesn’t is in the water usage – it tales more water (more time, more money too!) to wash off the bubbly soaps than the not-so-bubbly ones.
The method Dish Soap Pump is foolproof. It is simple to use and easy to wash off. It didn’t leave a film of residue on my hands which takes forever to wash off either. I just gave my hands a quick rinse afterwards and didn’t experience any irritation nor dryness.
This is based on my observation after 4 days of daily use.
Now, for stainless steels and stoves.
The Stainless Steel Cleaner Spray (354ml) – RM13.80 is perfect for this purpose.
I used both the All Purpose Cleaner and the Stainless Steel Cleaner for the stove racks/grills.
Just spray the Stainless Steel Cleaner on the surface of the stove. A little goes a long way.
The moment I sprayed a bit on the grease or stains on the stove I could see the stains/grease coming off. Then a quick wipe did the job!
Let’s not forget the covers and the sides of the stove.
There you go. A clean and spotless stove, not to mention also safe for cooking since all method cleaning agents/products are non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
The great thing about stainless steel is that it doesn’t nick, rust or corrode. but it does get dirty. This non-abrasive formula cleans and polishes stainless steel surfaces without streaking. Then, just to be nice, it leaves a protective layer. 🙂
Last was the kitchen sink and counter tops. I tried using both the method All Purpose Cleaning Spray as well as the Stainless Steel Cleaner Spray. Both work as well. I’ll advise that you stick to the All Purpose Cleaning Spray so you can save your method Stainless Steel Cleaner Spray for the important stainless steel stuffs.
The final part. The floor was dirty and wet by the time I finished the rice pot, stove, sink and dishes.
The same procedure applies. Spray the method Daily Granite on the floor and just wipe. I’m not living in some million dollars house so there’s no granite but marble tiles in the living room and plain tiles in the kitchen.
Since I have a bottle of the Daily Granite, I tested it out anyways. It certainly did the job, though I think I’ll buy the Squirt & Mop Wood All Purpose Floor Cleaner (739ml) – RM12.80 for all my floors instead.
Whew! That was Sunday! All that took an hour. Not bad yes? Since I didn’t have to scrub too hard. Spray, wipe, spray wipe! 😀
