Cielo Dolci Gelato, Paradigm Mall

There’s very little of us, if any at all, who dislike cold, creamy ice cream; whether we are residents in tropical climate or otherwise. From my Europe trip, I realized Europeans enjoy their gelatos and ice cream even when the weather is chilly!
Likewise for myself, I’m a dessert fanatic, especially so for anything icy. My preference goes to low fat or reduced fat versions, for obvious reasons since I’m female. 😀

The newest icon in PJ, Paradign Mall opened pretty recently. I was there within the 2nd week to check out the F & B outlets (what else would a foodie do eh? :P) but was pretty disappointed as there were many chain-based restaurants that are already available at most other malls.

Paradise Dynasty was one of the few that was new, but dinner was so-so and service was pretty bad. The multi-colour + flavour siew long bao was more of a novelty but we loved the sichuan beef. The others – vegetables, taufu and fish wasn’t worth mentioning.

So what’s worth checking out at Paradigm Mall??

This is!

Cielo Dolci, Paradigm Mall

Cielo Dolci Gelatos are made in small, controlled batches by Italian-trained Malaysian gelato-lovers.

Flavours includes delightful local twists like gula melaka + coconut and durian. Safe but still lusciously lovely are pistachio and Belgian Chocolate.

We took a while to decide on our flavours but the lady behind the counter was very sweet and generous. She allowed us to sample all the flavours so we could make our choice. I loved the Belgian Chocolate; which has a deep, dark chocolate flavour. Another favourite is the Durian; very creamy with fresh durian pulp blended together.

In the end I settled for Hazelnut and Pistachio. For RM8.80 nett, I got 2 scoops of absolutely heavenly, creamy gelato.

Yummy! :DD

It was a bit dense but superbly smooth and creamy.  The really reasonable price for the quality given is another reason I would highly recommend Cielo Dolci!

There’s take-away available, starting at RM40 for 600 grams. Not bad right?

Here’s something from Cielo Dolci’s Facebook: “We create our bases, prepare the fruits, melt the chocolate, infuse the herbs, grind the spices, roast the nuts and fine-tune the flavors ourselves.”
Well, that’s apparent in every spoon of the gelato I had! 🙂
