My favourite gym/club added another 2 new workout routines with the introduction of the Zumba Step and Zumba Sentao last week.
These 2 classes gave the stepboard (usually used in Step class) and the humble chair a new function; to be partners with the participant in performing both seated and standing toning exercises!
Incorporating fun and dance, Zumba Step and Zumba Sentao offer members of Celebrity Fitness yet another 2 additional options to burn and tone, on top of its existing 20 plus types of workout classes available.
Like I said before, exercising in Celebrity Fitness is never boring with so many choices of classes offered.
Feel like dancing? Take your pick from belly dancing to Dance N Seduce or BodyJam.
Just for Yoga there are Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Power Yoga and Bosu Yoga; just to name a few.
The new Zumba Sentao infuses chair-based dance choreography with traditional fitness moves such as triceps dips, squats, push-ups and abdominal crunches but with pulsating music.
A session of Zumba Sentao could burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour!
Meanwhile Zumba Step provides a gravity-defying blend of Zumba fervor, step aerobics and body fitness movements; cleverly combining the energy of Zumba beats with heart pumping aerobic step exercises for a whole body cardiovascular workout.
Zumba Step offers a balance of ZUMBA fitness (40%), dance (30%) and step aerobics moves (30%). This encaourgaes participants to use more energy to lift their body weight against gravity, yet keeps the moves easy to follow so it is a class suitable for everyone.
The new Zumba Step and Zumba Sentao is available at Celebrity Fitness clubs in Klang Valley and will be taught by the sexy trio of Alex Phang, Deno Au (the first ever Zumba Jammer of Malaysia) and Sunny Cheong.
