Forgot to mention the breakfast experience at this place the other day…
American Breakfast
Impressive selection for a breakfast set. Highlights of this platter (dish isn’t big enough) were the scrambled eggs, which I asked for it to be a little runny, and the sausage. The scrambled eggs, although it was left out as the kitchen forgot about it, was cooked the way I wanted it. Sprinkled with fresh ground pepper, and with the creamy aroma in the eggs, this really made me forget about the fact that they forgot about this crucial component in this platter. The sausage was juicy and cooked beautifully, and having a perfectly balanced taste. This tastes a lot better than the so-called “premium” bratwurst I bought from the supermarket.
Then again… there were a few disappointments. My pancakes felt a bit soggier than what I expected, and my bacon were a lot “crispier” than the bacon my friends got. While I expected the pancakes to be moist after I poured the maple syrup on it, it wasn’t supposed to be the “stick-to-your-palate” kind of moist. Suspect it to be a bit undercooked, which I am willing to forgive as I noticed that the kitchen was running a bit “slow” that morning. Can’t forgive the fact that my bacon was overcooked as my friends had perfectly cooked bacon on their dishes (I’ve been helping my dad cooking bacon since I was in secondary school for his customers, so I know how a perfectly cooked bacon should look like, regardless of how they cook it.).
Good thing that the owner was quite receptive of my comments on the pancakes and bacon (would rate their service above some of the more upscale dining places I have been). Loved the service and would highly recommend their breakfast provided I don’t get soggy pancakes and extra-crispy bacon on my next visit.

I had a most gorgeously thick, and succulent patty of pork burger in Bali. only to realize that the insides of the patty was RAW! too raw infact, that we sent the burger back to the grill.
yikes.[Reply]

wah, that looks sensational! my no. 1 criterion for burgers is a thick patty, and that looks like the thickest ever! :D
