ORIGINAL submitted article: My long winded one!

Amazingly this article wasn’t truncated much! So there isn’t a need for me to share my originally penned version here but I have added more images below. 🙂

The delicious Singapore hokkien mee from Hill Street Coffee Shop. I’ve had better ones in Singapore of course, but for KL this is not bad!

Village Grocer Food Hall Menu: Good option for a filling, below RM20 meal.

Another food court within MyTOWN : Food Empire – nice layout and decor.

Street food – Restaurant Queen’s and the open air hawker street on Jalan Peel is your best bet.

The steamed fish from the ‘dai chow’ (chinese stirfry stall) at Restaurant Queen’s.

Hawker galore from both Restaurant Queen’s and Jalan Peel hawker street~

Dim sum and handmade pau from David, Lucky Pau stall.

DIRECTIONS:

From Cochrane MRT station:

There 2 exits :
1. Exit to Pintu A (Jalan Cochrane) myTown/IKEA
2. Exit to Pintu B Jalan Shelley

1. myTown and IKEA: (Ikea food court, Food Empire, Hill Street Coffee Shop, Village Grocer Food Hall, etc)

Exit the fare gates and take the myTown/IKEA exit. Go up the escalator to street level. Cross the road and enter myTown.

2. Restoran Queens/Jalan Peel hawker street
Exit the fare gates and take the Pintu B Jalan Shelley exit.

Go up the escalator to street level. Exit the station and walk straight head to the road. You will be facing the back of the shops. Go to the front. The corner lot is Restaurant Queen’s.

Last but not least….

You may also find that my articles for this Prasarana x Malay Mail x Rebecca Saw series rather diplomatic/non- opinionated, but it is meant to be so as per the brief given.

Anyhow, if you think I’ve missed out on some eateries worth highlighting near any MRT/LRT stations, please let me know! I’ll be sure to go check it out.
Please do be in touch via FB message HERE.

Thank you and I look forward to your suggestions! 🙂
