AirAsia X’s Super 6 Anniversary!

Air Asia X celebrated its 6th anniversary today!

From its humble beginnings in 2007, starting with it’s 1st route KL- Gold Coast, Australia, AAX now flies to 18 destinations, has carried more than 10 million guests and has a proud fleet of 15 Airbus A330 aircraft.
Congrats AAX!

It’s always nice to see the dynamic team behind AAX success, particularly so the CEO himself.
Azran Osman-Rani had said, “AAX’s success was made possible thanks to our supportive business partners, airport authorities and tourism bodies who believed in us and supported us in our journey including our AirAsia and AirAsia X Allstars”.

The usual question of  ‘What’s next” was an easy one for Azran; “It’s been 6 X-citing years. We made our debut on Bursa Malaysia, opened up 6 new routes, introduced QUIET ZONE, and a variety of new scrumptious hot meals and will be announcing a new destination soon. 2013 has indeed been an X-tremely X-citing roller coaster ride for us.”
“Next year looks set to be an even more exciting year for us, with the delivery of 7 more aircraft, with our first international hub in Thailand to commence operations in the first quarter, we promise to deliver not just affordable fares but better connectivity within our region and beyond.”

For those who’s crazy for free flight tickets (who isn’t?) AirAsia X has also launched a social media contest today, whereby asking guest to record their most creative birthday shout-out to the airlines. AirAsia X will be giving away 6 pair of flight tickets to the winners preferred destination on AirAsia X.
The contest runs from 12th – 24th November 2013.
